I'm redoing carpet and have pulled up the old carpet and padding..the padding is the kind that has fibers that are glued to the floor...so there are still parts hanging on...what would remove it best? or do i have to sand it off?
Anything that will neutralize the glue without removing any paint that might be on there should work. Might want to try in a small area the stuff called Goo be Gone ? I have had good luck with kerosene but use at your own risk
Gasoline and a match.... No seriously, s****er, but depending how rotted and mouse piss soaked it is, you may wanna also consider a paper mask....
S****e it , wire brush . Do it dry because gooey glue is a real pain. And if you are going to glue new over it it wont sick to wd40 or other oily stuff. I use a razor blade s****er and a wood s****er. Jack
heat gun and s****er , and 3m adhesive remover ( woodgrain remover ) it will take the glue off without removing the paint ( use it outside as the fumes are nasty )
You don't have to kill yourself doing this. Keep it simple. Here you go ... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sentinel-Formula-747-Plus-128-oz-Adhesive-Remover-SPI747-1/202523866
