So I saw on TV that one way to save gas was to take a bike when possible. I thought , OK, I'll try it. I hauled my mountain bike in the back of my truck for 2 weeks and didn't save ONE BIT of gas!!! DO NOT be fooled people!
I had a temp job back in '07 that was only a few blocks away from the homestead.. I rode my Mongoose into work for the 2 months I was there.
i find that the bigger the engines the more fun i have, so my fpg is higher ( fun per gallon) so i leave the bike at home
Wahhahahahahahahahahah! Actually if this economy gets any worse, I'm only going to afford to build a stretch frame, low seat, cruiser bike and paint it.
I see they're advertising some new wonder additive that's supposed to "increase the percentage of gas burned in combustion" something like from 62% to 87%, I hear Savage doing a commercial for it, have to wonder what kind of BS this one is.
I heard that joke at work and thought I'd pass it on. I did used to ride a bike quite often, just not much anymore. Although I still like to cruise the neghborhood in the evening on my '53 Schwinn!
i'm old.... mine just mocks me from the corner where i shoved it so i had space to work on the T... besides, thats not what they mean when they say "take yer bike for a ride"..
back during the gas shortage during the 70s a lot of my business was modjfing engines to get better milage.the easiest to improve milage was the smakk block ford.chrvy sb the 2nd and the sb mopars were the hardest to improve milage.
