Projects Better late than never , 29 AV8 roadster build

Perfect!

 

Really fun and cool project - love the simplicity of the way it turned out. Nothing like having them to drive! Out here in Ohio at the moment - they're all 'asleep for the winter'. The cold is one thing (that doesn't both be that much), it is the fact they put a TON of salt on the roads - that just isn't good for old original tin.

How did you fasten it down and did you put any anti rattle under and around the edges?

Very clean and simple

 

It's screwed down around the edges , and no the mounting space is so small that i didn't bother with any anti rattle. It's set in place nicely and doesn't have much room for movement as it is . Thank you , I hunted for this intake for some time . I love it , it's a polished tattersfield

I will try and post pics not that great of taking pics all the time until I'm done then it's oh shit i wish I would have done this or that
Not sure on wich way I'm going to go with it yet i do have a line on a 51 flatty
But kind of looking at just building the F4 and running the wheels of it this year

Great work man! Very inspiring! I am being relocated from Illinois to Tucson in May for work. One of the things I'm looking forward to most is the extended windshield time allowed by the weather.
Loved following the build! You rock!

Yeah , used a 40 ford brake cable , a vintique repop park brake handle and ratchet that is listed as a 28-36 ( one of few repop items I bought , and one of the only parts that don't work worth a crap! ) built a mount off the 34 trans for the handle , ran the cable down the tube , all very simple and basic . I'm happy with the outcome , just not too pleased with the repop handle ! But it works , so that's what's important

Thanks , I'm really happy with this 21 stud . It's early so Babbitt and no insert but that's ok . I didn't want the typical 59a in it . It does the job !
