Been a member since late 08 so I figured it was time to introduce myself. Found out about the H.A.M.B after picking up my first custom, a 49 chopped Merc. Figured it would be a nice project while waiting for my 57 wagon to be released from the body shop. Little did I know how much fun and challenging the Merc would be to build and how addictive customs and this site can be once they get in your blood. Im hooked.
Thanks Maco-B. Got the wagon back and have working on getting her on the road. The first pic shows how I bought it. Wish I would have left it alone but we decided to do a frame off after blowing the six cylinder on the way back from a show in indy. Went with a surf green which was as close as possible to the fleet green color it was ordered in.
Welcome from Arkansas. Like the new paint on the '57, I had a '55 Handyman the same color about a hundred years ago. Well maybe it was only 45!
