It is about your intent to sell and the fact that you are obviously a thief.
    Your acts are totally un-american.

If you leave your shop door open and somebody steals your Model A coupe body, you can't be pissed at the thief. It's your own fault.

If you post something on the internet and expect to have exclusive rights to it, you're living in a fantasy land. Somebody somewhere will take it and attempt to p*** it off as their own.

If it was my own artwork, I would deal with it in a responsible legal manner. I wouldn't start talking like a jack *** and make threats of physical violence. The person who you're threatening can use that against you.

So, your mommy and daddy raised you to think that if someone's door is unlocked, then it's ok to take their TV? WTF kind of reasoning is that? I remember my grandparents would leave their doors unlocked all the time. They lived in a small town with values. Nothing was ever taken because people were HONEST back then. You must be the dishonest sort that has no ethics. I'm sorry your parents failed you, but in my world, I'll get pissed at a thief, whether I leave my door unlocked or not. A thief is a thief, whether it's physical property or intellectual property. Period.

Hey 35 Dodge Hot Rod, are you one of this *** holes friends, or are you a liar and a thief? Those are the only 2 reasons I can see to defend him.

Learn how to read. I didn't defend his actions of stealing, and I didn't say the victim couldn't be upset. However, if you don't rigorously defend your property you can't put all the blame on the thief.

And for the record, the Model A coupe body was a hypothetical situation. An ****ogy. Myself, I would be upset if someone stole my project, but if I went somewhere and left the door open I would be a dumb***.

Sorry guys, I should be clear. I did mean a Model A 5 window body. Not a custom 3 window.

It's NOT Traditional and it doesn't belong on here. Take it over to OSR.

IF we want to make sure "others" get the point,we need to stay "on topic".
Otherwise this thread will be closed soon.

Bottom line is,there are MANY people that depend on ORIGINAL artwork and designs to put food on the table and a roof over their head.

I have ideas on logos for a future enterprise. Will I copyright them, yes.
Will I change it if it "mirrors" another existing design,Hell yes.
I don't want to steal someones hard work and change the color and p*** it off as my own.
And then try and "defend" why I did it. It's not right and it's not the way I work.

Stealing is taking what is not yours no matter whether it is secured or not. It is very, very difficult to really actually secure graphic images on the internet. The whole purpose is for people to see it on their screens, but if it can be seen on your screen, then it is pretty easy to to just copy and paste or just grab a screen image if nothing else. So, stealing parts out of an unlocked garage is a lot different that sealing images off your computer screen. It takes tresp***ing, etc, to go into someone's garage, etc. It just takes a simple drag and copy or screen grab to get an image off the internet. The real crime is not doing the taking, the problem is taking and then trying to resell to make a profit for yourself and in the process deceiving people by suggesting you are the artist when clearly that is not the case. Try that with the Ford logo and see how far you get with that and see if they just let you off the hook with a sorry. To me, what is the most crazy about all this is that he tried to say he was the artist. That is the super crazy part and the part I think has really set some of these guys off and understandably so. He not only took their stuff without their permission and was re-selling it, he was also trying to claim he was the artist for it all - way, way over the top.

Now, I also don't suggest he needs to have his *** beat, etc. and would very strongly advise against that unless you want to find yourself in trouble with the law also. But, any legal action is up to the artists who felt they might have lost something because of this guy's actions. Might not be worth it, but that is the proper option to consider.

A fibergl*** car body is as traditional as anything from the 1950's can be. If it was good enough for a 1953 Corvette, who am I to say it's no good?

Who knows. He could be a douche bag, but I've never talked to him or met him. Maybe he's a maverick.

In any case, he doesn't deserve to be beat to a ****** pulp and ********d just because he ripped off some designs. There are only so many ways the wheel can be invented, there are bound to be near duplicates.

Jonathan Dean, Registered owner of The Bone Yard Chop Shop, also known as THEBONEYARDCHOPSHOP.COM has come under heavy fire of the members of the HAMB for the unauthorized use of their artwork and graphic designs. It is clearly noted on the entrance site and the bottom of every page "Steal our stuff and we will kick your teeth in." Of course no one would condone actual physical violence against anyone, but they will make you famous!

Regestering on the board as The Bone yard Chop Shop, and claiming to be the owner of said company had the following responce, excuses, flawed reasoning, and sarcastic appology for his actions. This person claimed to have removed from public view the stolen artwork inan attempt to appease the outraged members. This person claimes to be a college student and the employer of other students instructing and teaching them in the fine art of plagerism, theivery of intellectual property, claiming it for his own and marketing the stolen property for proffit.

Rational and justification for his actions ranged from his finances were low, he was recently unemployed, everyone else is doing it, to he didnt think he would get caught. Because of these satated reasons he thinks he should be absolved and fogiven and requests that his company contact infomation not be posted. Should you like to contact him this information is public knowledge as a registered bussiness.

    This was the first responce:

  30. It's blantant steeling. I've worked hard to get where I am. And it wasn't for someone else to make a profit. Change in design is one thing, but damn...blantant stealing of business logo's and all.....sickening. It's hard enough just to be starting out and to find out someone else is ****ing you dry.....WTF......Carl Hagan
