Beware of Paul Webster!!!!

Hey now there is an idea for Pete. I know how much he wants to deal with this the "legal" way. Maybe Pete can give the info to the IRS, I am sure the guy didn't pay income tax on his ill gotten gains. If he scammed more than Pete they might get really interested in him!

 

I'll help if I can... I got screwed out of $300 or so dollars by some guy in the mid west who claimed to have a door for my business coupe... Never say the door, the money, and could never reach the jackass again.

 

I am ready WHERE AND HOW is what we have been asking

 

Our story so far:

Pete from Australia allegedly got ripped off for $12K by Paul while Paul was living in MN last year. Paul allegedly took the payment for some parts, and then disappeared. Pete was not impressed.

Paul moved to CO at some point, and may or may not own a motel there now.

Pete noticed Paul's email address on some newly placed ads that included his new phone number.

Pete said he contacted Paul at the new number, but he was still uncooperative.

After more info was gathered on him, and the local sheriff was contacted, Paul allegedly had a change of heart, and made arrangements with Pete to turn over the parts last weekend (4/5)

Pete asked for local help in CO to retrieve the stuff he paid for. Several HAMBers volunteered, PMs were exchanged.

Pete went on vacation...and now we're waiting for him to get back to hear the punchline.

Yeah, I would like to see how the drama plays out here.
My dim brain just can't keep up. Tust someone you don't know with 12g and then go on vacation when it is the closest it's ever going to get to being resolved? I guess us old cowboys process things a little differently than they do down under.

Go back a few pages and you'll see Pete is on vacation. Probably back next week or so if memory serves. Hope this gets resolved or we get to go to Colorado for a HAMB Thrash.

Hell If I just lost 12 grand to someone in another country I think my vacation would start or end there.

Actually the gut can't spell it right!! its abogado(lawyer) in spanish ... his looks more like avocado. I heard alot of shady business deals in this hobby...that sucks! Lots of good people get taken advantage of.

I Think this was a bigger deal with us than it was with Pete! I tried to sick you guys on a sorta simular asshole but the thread got closed. But, I found out my guy is running a tire shop in Stockton. It seems that a good friend of mine, who in a past life lived in Detroit, has a dark side I didn't know about. He had the guy in 2 days! The screwed parties are discussing his future.

Close this thread. Obviously the guy has way too much money. I think God has two gifts: 1) Money, 2) Sense, and you can't have both.

 

why does Paul have too much money? because he buys a car for 12k? you obviously think its OK to take someone for 12k and do a runner...
