The front 6.70-15 tires need to be replaced on my Model A. I am running 7.60-15s on the rear. I would like to go with a smaller diameter tire on the front for a little more rake but since I have a Super Bell dropped axle would this not be a good idea? Thanks.

I fail to see why the tires care what axle it has or vice versa.

  3. Measure the current axle height.
Look up the overall height of the tire you want to use.
    Do a little math.
It going from a 27 inch tall tire to a 25 inch tire, your axle will be one inch lower

I run 5.60-15 on a 4" dropped axle with reverse eye Posie spring, so far no clearance problems even if the tire runs flat, I did adjust my caster because of the rake tho and I still retain the original style wishbone unsplit , your setup may differ....

Thanks. Wasn’t thinking this through correctly. Should know better posting questions past my bed time. LOL!
