I love the look of big and little on most vehicles, but have had the experience of ending up going down an
exit ramp sideways when big in the rear tires on a light vehicle lost traction, so I am building my truck with
equal size tires. On a vehicle only driven on warm sunny days nothing looks better, but CT has too much sudden
frost on raised highways and bridges on otherwise nice days.

I'm just speculating here, but I think that when more serious / specialized racing series came along (ovals, lakes, drags) taller rear tires were used because it is an easy way to get more top speed out of the cars. And who wouldn't like the look of a raked race car after that? Prior to bigs n littles, rally / endurance / road racing cars primarily used one size tire all around. And on the street in those turn of the century days, you absolutely needed a spare(s) let alone extra tubes, patching kits, tire irons, etc., so only having one size tire was probably a good idea. I think it would be hard to pull off these days, but why not give it a shot in your mock-ups?

Love your ride height . I’m going to take my 15” Smoothies off and if I can get the right tire combo replace with some original 16” artillery wheels off a 36 plymouth for my 40 Coupe C85206A9-6F40-4FA5-98A0-6D6CBFBC5211.jpeg
