I don’t remember this guy at all or why he got banned, but you gotta do some pretty bad shit to get a permanent ban. Like, real bad…

Did a little research…

He posted an unfinished Chevy pickup with 20” Wheels. Most would call it a rat rod. It was deleted. He posted it again and again we deleted it - this time with a pm letting him know why. He responded with “you don’t know shit about hot rods” and then posted it again. Once more it was deleted and he was told his account would be closed if he continued posting it. He posted it two more times by my count.

So yeah, I’m not really into hosting those kinds of folks guys. Sorry. But if you have a problem with the way the joint is ran, I get it… Just press “log off” and you are done. Or, you can send me a pm and I will close your account as well. No hard feelings.

 

I've been running this madhouse for 30 years actually, but who's counting? Other than me I guess…

Getting called out? Eh, doesn't ruffle my feathers much. People get pissed, they spit fire, it's a natural defense mechanism. I can roll with it.

What really grinds my gears, though, are the old-timers. The ones who’ve been around, know the score, yet hear one side of some half-baked tale, forget all those thirty damn years, and jump to conclusions. Leaves me standing there, scratching my head, wondering, "What the fuck did I do?"

Have no idea why he would be so mad,,, None of us did a thing to him. It's all there in black and white, man. The endless posts, the barrage of private messages pleading with him to cut the crap, the "you don't know shit" rants, the warnings—all of it. Weird behavior, no doubt... but I've got better things to do than waste any more time on this circus.

2. Moriarity deleted it.

3. He posts it again.

4. Moriarity deletes it again and then sends him a pm. I don’t have access to that pm as I wasn’t on the string.

5. He posts it again.

6. Morairity deletes it again and sends him a pm with me on the string:

Editor’s note: image on the above PM was a pretty decent ‘32 with very traditional halibrand indy wheels in 18”. Kind of shows a lack of understanding in my opinion.

I find myself baffled, utterly unable to grasp how anyone with a functioning cerebral cortex could conjure the notion that this scenario carries even a whiff of controversy. The guy flouted the rules with reckless abandon, a repeat offender in the grand theater of the HAMB, warned time and time again like a wayward child nearing the edge of a cliff, and yet he persisted. After numerous attempts—politely, mind you, as if dealing with a fragile soul—the hammer finally dropped, and his account met its deserved demise.

It strikes me that his objective was always to sail straight into the abyss of banishment. How, in the name of all that is unholy, could this have unfolded any differently? And come to think of it, what motive would me or my moderators have to treat some dude we don’t know at all poorly?

I bust my ass trying to make people here for the right reasons feel at home…
