Kearney Nebraska. Apparently it happens every year and is a pretty big shin-dig. I don't really know who to tell you to talk to about more info, though. I'll be headed up. Home base will be Kool Tattoo in Kearney. I think this is the right # for the shop....308-236-5034. Kool Tattoo is owned by fellow DEADBEAT, Jerry Owen. Anyways...I thought maybe some of ya'll in that area might be interested. You can come cruise, hang out, get a tattoo from one of the 5 DEADBEAT tattoo artists, or get something striped or lettered or maybe a ccustom pin-up chickie painted! Or, like I said, JUST HANG OUT and CRUISE!! Should be BIG FUN!!! If you go, be sure to try to find me and the Wa-Goon and say "hi". later, Dan
Ther will be about 500 cars, most willnot be traditional. All cars are eligible for show and shine. There is an outing to the drive in on Saturday. Club has no control over movie showing, it will be what ever is on regular schedule. Sunday there are drags (Hot Rod Reunioin) at local dragstrip. Saturday night is usually kinda wild with thousands of cars cruising (every year & make). A few years ago the Saturday night cruising was getting out of hand, it has calmed down a little. Last year a local bike shop had a bike dyno and a band, big crowd was there. PM me if you want more details on show, I'm in club putting show on. Can also visit this link. http://www.kearneycoc.org/CNAC/
Is this free, or are you charging "VIVA" prices to cruise??? I hope you included yourself on the 5 Deadbeats tattoing, Joe's leg heeled and it looked bad-ass.
Thursday night at the local cheverolet dealer is free, last year not alot going on here, hope for more this year. Friday night at a local museum call the arch, show is free, you have to pay for the food or if you want to go through museum. There were about 150 cars at this last year. All years and types of cars, no limitations. Saturday show down town is $10.00 registration. There are no awards, non judged. Money from registrations goes towards expenses, shcolarship funds for kids going into automotive related schools, and to local charities. There are between 450 to 650 cars of any year & type at this show. Saturday night the cruising begins. There is no charge for cruising, you just need to buy your gas. Cruise is open to everyons aas it is not part of show. There are all types of cars cruidsing, many are just daily drivers. Thousands of people line the streets to watch. Streets are bumper to bumper, I usually just park and watch, it is much safer. Also Saturday night there is to be something at the local drive inn theatre. Movie will be what was normally scheduled as there was no control over what was to be shown. Sunday the local dragstrip will have their reunion drags. This something close to nostalgia drags.
