Bad ***ery takes time weedhopper! (And a lot of money!)

 

Years is my gauge. Love those El Cams. One of my bucket cars.

 

It took some time, but i believe i have enough stuff ac***ulated to get this ***** going. This is where i throw a shout out to the guy that bought my 57, thanks to his generosity, this is all possible gotta go get engine mounts tmrw, and a starter, but i believe it's time to stick the 283 in it. More to come....

 

I gotta get those pedals out for you one of these day…

 

Didn't do much to the car today. The hood hinges showed up. Also ordered a used hood latch from a 59 impala, surprise! Doesn't work. My fault. $100 down the drain. I did put my aluminum oil pan on.

Representing thought about ordering some fancy *** aluminum covers, but then i thought I'm just going with what was laying here, and fancy them up with some HAMB stickers

 

Simple, cl***y, and inexpensive. The perfect combination!

 

The air cleaner is just sitting there, it's not staying, actually goes to the blazer I'm building. I'm thinking about a velocity stack.

Hope you have better luck with your oil pan not leaking than I did. Had one those Cal Custom pans decades ago that was one leaking SOB. Finally gave up and put a stock oil pan back on.

Yeah I hope so too lol, this one will be fine because it's the rare one from the Taiwan speed shop. Bangkok rod supply was out. My stock pan had a rust hole in it about 3" long. Thought about patching it, looked around here for a good one, but one call does it all. If it leaks I'll fix it or pour more oil in it.

 

Thinking on it still lol, not sure what i want to run. I'm acting like my wife

 

Introducing my straight axle El Camino, steering isn't right, but it'll work moving it around here until i order a heim joint. I love it, it's exactly what i envisioned I'll put the 283 in it tomorrow. Overlook my rollers, not all of us can afford halibrands

Maybe you could do one of those gangfund things to raise $ for wheels.
There's enough low '60 Els around. Thrilling to see one jacked up!
Some 5.13 gears, and weight plates bolted in at the the rear. HAMBer @Dustyp489 did this back in the day. It could be a wheelie machine!
