Then it's not the 9.3, if it's actually a posi-trac center section and not a lincoln locker, I'll sell it and put something else under it. I'm not gonna trash a posi unit when somebody might actually have a use for it lol.

  3. I’m going to Lloydfest and I work in downtown St. Louis if that helps.

Cycletech and Steve already asked about it. If it's the actual P case posi unit, I know they're worth a good amount. But I'm not gonna worry about it until I see it with my own eyes lol... my luck it's welded up

Lloyd, this has very little to do with your build, but I thought you might get a kick out of it. I drew this when I was 14 or 15...

Too cool, thanks. I use to draw a lot as well. Carina alway’s ask’s that I start up where I left off in jr. high drafting cl*** doing automotive illustrations.

I did this one but had it stolen before completing it. IMG_2896.jpeg

.030 over 454, .250 domes, comp 280 magnum hydraulic, 781 heads that have been worked, performer rpm and an 850 carb, fenderwell headers, etc... bolted to the 4 speed, and a guy that can barely hold a clutch pedal down. Think the rear end will hold up??:D:D:D

What kind of valve covers are you gonna top it off with? Got a pair of M/T look alike here. Holley, I intended to mill that off and put breathers in place of the script. But I don't really need them. 20240712_111558.jpg

Yep it's begun. A few tweaks here and a little more there and you'll be building a right proper drag and drive motor. Seriously, it sounds like a nice build. I'm getting there with my back, so I went with the full manual valve body 700r4. Overdrive should make cruising much nicer.

IMG_4954.jpeg Everyone should have a pair of old M/T valve covers. Of course they won’t clear stud girdles or high lift rocker arms.

I put an 8.8 rear ('94 Mustang 5.0) in my old Sedan Deliv. Although not a big block, beat the living **** out it for over 12 years...had to fix about everything on the car at least once EXCEPT the rear end...never touched it (did break a few universals though). I'd say they're plenty tough.

Lloyd , I do like your plan, however, I am thinking lower compression, 671 blower, proper cam and clutch. Now that will pucker your *** checks.:D:eek:;):)

Lol I'll have the whole car built for less than that blower cost! Just a street car, that'll make good torque

Nothing like a blower sticking out the hood since we’re spending Big Daddy’s money might as well put a built olds rear in it also:cool:

Lmao! I've put 3 back on the road since I joined here in 2019, while working a full time job plus building and painting customer cars! All the while there are guys here that still haven't finished the 1 car they were working on when I joined :p:D

Just a side note, my buddy bought a bunch of old campers from an estate sale. I'm trying my best to get one of them! 2245967468925620731.jpg 6871010655822241446.jpg 806546207578786558.jpg
