Jerel put it all in the car for me, but without the stock bell, it won't help. I'm just gonna move it, all good

The studs were still in the crossmember, I threw them in the trash the other day. I assume the other pieces are still bolted to his motor

  8. I got a few old stock mounts you can have
I’ll send em if you need em:)
I bought some aftermarket mounts for the wife’s 56. Didn’t have any factory mounts at the time.
Engine looked too low. I bought a pile of parts that came with about 3 or 4 sets of OE V8 mounts. Used a set on the 56 and the engine was around 3/8th to low. Made a spacer and the PS pump and mechanical pump will clear the x-member now.

  10. Motor looks awful small in there. I should have traded you my dual 4 Tunnel Ram intake so you could cut a hole in the Hood, for those seats.

Anthony, if you're coming next week, I could use a set of stock mounts.

  13. I just need the entire assembly the stock mounts go into. :D

  14. Need mounts?
    I got a couple tri5 set ups

  15. Anthony, I meant I need the entire car for the mounts to go in. I’m sorry, it was a poor attempt at humor. I’ll just stick to fixing trucks. o_O

  16. Well, just build the rest around the mounts.

    I’ve got 3 32 ford hood latches.
    That’s a start:)

Wimp, heard of guys who just started with a radiator cap.
And you think you’re a fabricator:)

The idea is to use the stockers to locate the block. Then install your side mounts. But if the front mounts aren't in the way, you might as well leave 'em in place.

I don't believe they'll work with my 8" balancer, I'm not sure, but I've read it. We'll see.

As this pic show’s, the interference isn’t great. My brother in law notched his like 40 years ago. If you do it creatively, the inner gusset remains but smaller and mount won’t look hacked up. IMG_3017.jpeg

    20240830_174611.jpg That's exactly what I did when I was 18 and swapped the 265 for a 350 in this

OK it's in the proper location now. Doesn't look like a lower radiator hose is possible with the front mounts. Gotta cut, grind, bitch, cry, weld and I'll be back in business :cool:
