Oh, hell, Lloyd! I'll always be impressed with whatever you're doing, unless it happens to be one of those, "Here, hold my beer" moments. Who knows, maybe I'll be impressed then too. ;)

Me too. With the Pioneer sticker/decal on the back window. The one that made it easier for radio thieves to choose your car.

Not sure anyone still steals car radios. Perhaps a lost tweaker art.

    Cheers,

Hmm... I'm confused. It's not hard to do... I don't get into town often. Speak slowly to me, use small words.

As far as I can see, these are the options for new Torque Thrusts (copied from the American Racing website):
American Racing Torque Thrust options for new wheels.jpg
If I got it right, the Torque Thrust II's are the forbidden curved spoked street rod versions. Which ones are the HAMB acceptable versions?

Asking for a friend, who put 15x10 Torque Thrust D's on his FED (and FED trailer), as they were the only thing he could find locally that didn't require selling a kidney...

    Cheers,
    Harv

These are Torque Thrust D’s that I got sometime around late 1990’s or beginning of the 2000’s making them U.S. made. I’ve never got crap about it. Until now??? IMG_2882.jpeg
What’s not shown in your pic are the TTO’s (Torque Thrust Originals a re-release of the early straight spoke) which were not available when I purchased these wheels.

VIN is present. Title is all clear and good to go. I went and put wheels on it so he could roll it back from his gantry once he lifts the engine. I told him to leave the clutch linkage for me. Also told him that guys on the forum was giving me shit about him pulling the engine. He asked if you guys think he's a pussy or something :D:D he's so fucking cool. Told me he'll have it out this week sometime. I told him to yell if he needs my help.

Tell you how active the guy still is, he asked me if I have a front bowl for a Holley double pumper. Said he's rebuilding a 780 and needs a front bowl because the threads are bad on the inlet needle boss. I told him I'd order him a new one if he wanted, he told me he doesn't want a new one because it won't match the rest of the carburetor :D:D:D

My bad. When searching the American Racing site for Torque Thrusts, it does not show the TTOs. Bad search engine. Fixed that in the image below.

Yeah I like em. Was gonna order them, but Mark wouldn't be my friend any longer, plus two of the TT was cheaper than 1 of the 10 spokes lol

I bought a pair of gray spoke TTDs for the front of my J to replace the 14" Sears Raders that wouldn't clear my brakes. I had 15X11 Fenton Gyros on the rear that stuck out more than I liked. I figured out that if I went to 15X10 with 5" BS, It would move the outer sidewall in about an 1 1/2". I could get the 5" backspace in TTIIs so I got a pair. I had to sand out the tool marks and polish the rims on the TTDs so they would sorta match, and get matching center caps. Close enough for the guys I run with. I considered those chrome slots, but that dish around the lugs just isn't right. I suppose it's for disc brake clearance, too.

For what it's worth, I have Rocket 10 spokes on the front of my other car and a local guy that used drive an altered with 12 spoke spindle mounts likes my wheels.

I did find out that the original rear end has a posi unit in it. So if anybody is in need of a center section. He told me it had 3.70 gears.

If your not going to beat on it as indicaticed earlier in this thread. Why not just run it and mount some slippery tires rather than doing all that 8.8 conversion?

Oh I'll beat on it. But I'm building a street car. Not worried about trying to make it hook up.

If it does indeed have a posi 3.70 I would run it or sell it for damn good money. I'm sorry but an 8.8 looks like shit under a gasser regardless of what people say about em...The carrier feels like a play toy in my hand compared to a 9 or a 12 bolt.

I went with a P/O rear in my car after shearing all the ring gear bolts.
