Big Fun At the RoundUp...but no pics....

Just got home! Had a great time hanging out with some of my DEADBEAT brothers, some really great friends and all the cool HAMBers (and some cool non-HAMBers as well)!!! Unfortunately I didn't get to see any cars at the Saturday show, due to striping/lettering obligations. Got to look at lots of cool rides on Congress Saturday night, though. The best part was just hanging out and meeting some real cool people. The HAMB has some kick**** members. Wish I coulda spent more time with more people....way too much to see and do. The bash at Flyrite, today, was a great way to end the weekend, too! Jason and Whitney threw a real nice gathering. Thanks to everyone posting pics from the weekend...gives me chance to see lots of cool stuff that I missed. Thanks again to Flyrite Choppers and to all the Kontinentals that busted**** to make the weekend happen.

 

Oh yeah, almost forgot one of the highlights of the weekend (for me, anyway)....took a little spin in AntiChrysler's rpu..... holy***** this thing is FAAAAAAASSSST!!! (thanks BigKnock...I stole the pic from your thread...hope that's alright ) I couldn't stop laughing my**** off after the drive!

 

......looks like y'all had a ball.......your van was lookin' sharp. Any art work flying around there????

Unkl, I'm gonna try to have the pos-jalopy on the road for the Houston LiveFast convention, in June! Cruising in AntiC's rpu was too much fun...I want some open-air fun of my own!

I didn't realize just how much I needed a day or two of goofin off... Lots of stress lately and this weekend really help clear my head. Babs and I had a great time just getting away from the house and hanging out with friends...rarely happens these days. Gonna be a lot easier to get some work done tomorrow, now that I got to blow off some steam!

I was so busy that I didn't post in-progress pics before the show, but I have to thank BILLETPROOFDUDE! He sold the car to me for a killer deal. I need to meet-up with Kirk at a show and take him for a ride.

By the way it is fast and scaring DEADBEATS and BARONS in it was the highlight of my weekend.

I had a blast riding with you friday night. I was driving like a little****** after all the******* problems. But you reminded me that it ain't worth owning a hot rod if you don't drive it like you can fix it. Oh, Sorry about the gas shower...a windshield would be nice.

Oh...Tell Kelli that Laura is a better lead than me. Hell, I think she's a better driver. It's going to be funny when she races Blane at the drags and shows him how girls can power shift, too.

Of course, that's way I'm off the road so much. I drive it that way without most of the necessary skills to get her fixed.

 

That was one mighty fine show ! Really enjoyed the trip on the hiway with Dennis Mcphail ,Mike Shea, Voodoo Jim, Jeff Myers , Mark Flowers, Miss Becky , and Joe Casto !!
Special thanks to Pat for that wild ride in his RPU and the alternator bracket ( I woke up and my car had parts ) and to Tyler for helping me get my axle bearing blues behind me.. And Fat Luckys for the new parts!!!!
The show was top O' the line and it was fantastic getting together with my DEADBEAT brothers Dan , Jeff , and Jason you guys inspire the drive in me DBF!!!
And thank you to Jimmy White, Curtis and Dean for making Kansas a little more interesting before the show!

DAMN it looks KILLER!!!! I'd be super stoked to go for a ride someday. I'd also love to get a disk or whatever of progress pics and finished shots. So that hemi does it's job huh? RIGHT ON!!

Antichrysler, the gas shower would have been bad in a modern ride, but from the E tickit ride it came from it tasted like a shot of Cuban rum. Hell, what was in that tank anyways? Lets get cracking on Dan's ride! I think he needs to play more and work less.

This is funny. Marcy is going to have to intro just to refute the notion that she's creepy. I love it. It's just like a Deadbeat post to turn into a ball bust'n session...and a girl's set at that. There is no shame with you DB's.

 

It's all done with LOVE! It just kinda freaks me out when I stop and think about the 30-50 lurkers that are out there at any given point in time. You tend to think only about the people that are posting or the ones you at least see in the "online" section. Like a bunch of tiny little pink eyeballs, glowing in the dark.

 

My little stock 283 is no match for that Hemi. Crease confirmed that after one "code brown" experience Saturday night in yoru RPU. My hats off to a damn cool, and seriously scary fast ride. I'll love watching it blow down the 1/4 in the fall.
