I owe Dan Big. He flew to dallas to help me out on the RPU after a 16 hr. day of laying down stripes and dots.

Hopefully, we can get all the parts lined up and we can bring another welder and a couple of angle grinder and we can have that******** monstrosity of a hot rod on the road. Besides, Sandman, you need to have at least one hot rod in town that you can kick around.

 

Antichrysler, nice roadster you got there. I would have loved to seen Barnetts expression after you gave him the death ride, say..you didnt built this roadster with the same brake setup that was on Dans three-wheeler did ya? haaaaah NICE WORK on that roadster!!

Thanks, Steve. I was shocked you weren't there with your ride. You must be slowing down. I remember a time when a hot rod would have been damn near a weekend project for you. I guess it takes longer to keep-up with the gold chainers and install stereos, cup holders and reclining bucket seats. So, I think you better win an award at Good Guys this year.

Damn it Sandman, Since my car is kinda a hybrid rail, I'll take a stab at it. Just let me know what you've got a couple of months before the round-up. I might have to start a blower fund. If you can build a rail I can add a blower.

I can't wait for the drags. Why don't the Barons reserve a strip in S.A. on a weekend and put together a drag race. That event is too much fun to do it once a year. I'm already trying to get the Chupes to do a Dallas/F.W. race. Then all I have to do is get Barnett to convince Root to have one around Oklahoma and I'll be in hog heaven. I don't think it has to be a Kontinental caliper show with bands and stuff just a little gathering of HAMBers. This way we can have more passes down the track...dig.

 

Great idea, The more races the better. It'd be great to have more than 2 or 3 to hit a year.
Might even get me off my**** to pull the 2.78 gears outta my rear and get a real gear set.

Then when you want to freshen up the car..., you just simply take the body off that "old pretzel" and bolt it onto the new race frame!!!

You've got to love the simplicity of the Model A for that!!

dont be fooled by the two huge holes in my motor. i had nothing to do with building that bottom end.and its coming back strong...and mean .so dont think the ol'Ford is gonna be outta the game at the drags.with those 4:11 gears she really gets lost! and fellow ROAD ROCKETS...well ..we got a few suprises!

Dusty, did you ever figure out how that cam broke off? It seems like more of a top end problem than a bottom end problem. Made for a hell of a picture, though. I'm not on my own computer so I can't resize the pic we have.

 

havent got it home yet.shes till in FTW....gnna get her this weekend.hopefully have my new short block but mid month and have her back on the road by early may.ill post picts of the horror inside that motor when i take her down.

Barnett, you will be able to take Antichrysler at the drags. I have been in that thing, it won't stay together! He should have had Blane work on it for him, then he might make it to the next event without a trailer. Poor little guy, kinda feel sorry for him having to have his girl push.
