Glad to hear this story. Almost went to York this year. Havent been there since I lost one of my last remaining friends from the told hotrod days died of pancreatic cancer. He and my late godfather were related by marriage. Seeing this one reminds me of what york was all about to me and why I went with my 39 Chevy Business Coupe. Havent had her on the road since then either. Hard to believe its been 5 years. Kudos to you guys for real hotrodding.
Congrats John, nice looking car. One of these years I'll know what that feeling is about when I get my dodge on the road. later shawn
John I'm happy you finally got to drive your dream. I have to give a huge thanks to all the guys for helping on this and helping John get this done. I went to Bonneville two years ago with the guys and listened to John talk about this car he has been storing for 34 years. He rode with me in my coupe and told me how he wished one day he could get in his coupe and drive it and the whole story behind it. Well you hear stories of guys having cars for years and never doing anything with them or wanting to sell them. Well here is a reason to hold on to them and I'm sure John's glad he didn't sell it when he was thinking about it. Cruise on John it's on the road buddy!
There is still hope for me!!! I've had the Stude for way to long (almost 20 years) and like John haven't ever driven it. Hell I've only sat in it a couple times. Cool car and even better story. I think the videos say it all. Congrats John. Now stay away from the computer and go drive that thing.
