Event Coverage Big Ken & Son, Route 66/HAMB Drag Adventure

OK all you HAMBers out there on Route 66, the boy (Ryan) and myself are headed your way, Friday. Leavin' Dallas, takin' a right at Big Cabin, OK. and heading to St. Louis. Hang there for Saturday, and head to Chi-town on Sunday. Meeting 'OldBobSign' and Gloria at Dell Rhea's in Joliet for chicken dinner, that evening. Holler if your in the area, and care to join us. The more the merrier. Gonna play tourist on Monday, and head back to St. Louis on Tuesday, taking the Old Route. Hang there 2 days with family, and head down Route 66 to Joplin for Thursday night.
I'm just hunting for HAMBer's along the way, incase we need to share a 12oz.'er or two. Or in a worse case, need someone to call for 'HAMB-Road-Assistance' (God forbid).
Anyway, if anyone wants to join us, slam a cold one prior to the drags, drop me a note and a number.
Ryno has been gracsious to offer up, and I'm gonna put a dent in his donuts, Saturday morning. Thanks man.

I'll ask Vic and see if she wants to bring it for the hotel lot festivities. I must admit it would be a great source for refreshments, considering the heat and all.

Hey Mike, that's cool. Hell, I ain't seen you since that night at Chuck-a-Burger, for the Bombers get-together. You didn't have your truck done yet, either.
Shoot me a PM w/number, and see what I can work out. Sunday on the way up is gettin' booked, what about Tuesday lunch? We were gonna do the Cozy Dog on '66'.............but am open to suggestions.

Dammit Breeder I need the same thing.... Big wads of cash and a babysitter. Ken we need Ryan to move down here and build a ride for himself...wish i was going, but i guess i will stay here and pack lunch bags and act like a taxi service for the tricycle motors

First of all let me say what a great adventure that you are on with your son.

Second - yes we will bring the blender/vibrator but with a little different twist this time. Since Ken has been without an engineering contract since the 3rd week of January we are a bit monetarily challenged at the momment so it will be a bit tough to provide the booze and drink as we have in the past. The blender will be there for anyone who would like to blend their drinks, just bring your booze, mix and ice - we will be more than happy to assist with running the blender.

Of course the blender is best ran on a wooden picnic bench with the gals lined up !!

Ken I'll PM you there are also some nostalgia drags this weekend about 45 mins from springfield

 

I took the 64 to the Salina Leadsled show and GG's Des Moines, so I think I'ma gonna get my 68 Dodge pick-up out and stretch it's legs a bit. Should be a better swap vehicle too. Really looking foward to that weekend, hope to be able to get together and drink with ya. Gary
