Unfortunantly I won't be making it with Megan. Too many factors, my flight from Nasville to Detroit is the main one. So, I'll head down to Dayton on Saturday, pick up Big Olds from Dave's place and drive to Earl Schieb's place in TN and fly home from there.

Rob from DTS called this morning with word that they will be paying me for the hood damage and a complete refund on the work they did in Sept. He was very apologetic, sincerely so. He realizes it was just by the grace of God that the rear didn't lock up with Big Olds ending up in a ditch or worse, smashed into a cement embankment or something. He really doesn't think his guys did the hood damage but is paying me for it because he said he knows that there is more damage to my rear now then what I paid him in Sept and he's tring to make the whole situation right.

Rob really is a good guy and I sure hope he can get his current employees straighten out or get some new ones in there. In todays economy, locally, he should have the cream of the crop to chose from as far as quality and talented folks.

Seriously though, bummed that I'm not gonna get to see you this week, and
thats our loss.Doesn't compare with a fragged axle. You will be able to look
back on this and smile someday,I promise. I see some 2 wheel burnouts in
    BO's future,and that can't be a bad thing.Without a doubt the best thing
to come out of this is another story of Hot Rodders stepping up to make
this world we live in a lot better. Happy Thanksgiving,Denise.:D

It's really good to hear about stand up people like Rob. Alot of business is the owners name and how their employees take care of it.

So glad to hear that everything that is coming out to the better side,.

    hugs,

    Fantastic news!

I know the feeling of getting Big Olds fixed! Not as catastrophic a repair as this time but it is a really good feeling!

I can't tell ya how many times I corrected those Ohio boys last Saturday.....must have something to do with not wanting to have their hands all over the rear of a "him".;):D

I had alittle "scare" today when Dave called me to tell me the rear was fixed and working great but when he took Big Olds out for a test run he wouldn't shift outta low gear. After looking everything over that he could think of he called to ask if the trans was acting up on me on the way down. I said no, I was clipping along at 70MPH in third gear just fine. He said he'd make some phone calls and get back to me. Dave then called a trans guru buddy and that buddy told him what to look for and sure enough that little "plastic"? gear broke during the rear seize. Dave fixed, another test run and he's shifting perfect. My hero!

Sure has been an emotional roller coaster of a week......a whole summer really.

Scott AKA Ralfs56 has offered to drive me from Detroit to Dayton on Saturday so to those that offered to do a human HAMB relay, thanks so much, it's covered now.

Ramblur....Danimal, you too are sick, sick boys....that must be why I love ya so much!:D
