This is probley one of the hardest posts I've had to write in a long time. How do you properly thank a guy who has done so much for you? I'm at a loss for words on how to describe my feelings right now. I actually never thought Big Olds would ever get painted, let alone get all the very cool body mods that were in my head.....and some that weren't.

Earl Schieb not only opened up his shop to me, and Roadstar, but his home as well. Every trip down there we stayed at his place and were treated like family and thats what I feel like now. A member of the "family". Mike, from the bottom of my heart, thank you sooooo very much, you are the greatest....the most generous person I know.

So, without further ado, here are more photos taken at the cave of Volunteer Auto Body in Hartsville, TN.

The view I first saw on Friday.....yep, had lots of work left still to do before Big Olds would be ready for his debute.

Roadstar helping put the dash back in after it's facelift back in Detroit over the winter. I've never seen black shiny paint look so good. Oops, looks like I forgot to do the windshield trim. Have to work on that this weekend.

Placement of the hood and alignment never looked so easy when you have real "professionals" doing the job. Look, can even be done with one hand while the other hand holds the beer.:D

Once the hood was on we started on the wheels and tires. Notice how we have one worker bee and lots of supervisors.:D

These are my Billetproof burnout bias-plys that Roadstar lets me borrow. I'll be running WW radials and believe I will be painting my wheels a darker shade of red with an Olds cap. Mike held this Caddy cap up just for fun.

Once he was sitting in place.......we all stood back to admire 6 long, hard months of work. Not to mention the 10 previous years of work by Just Steve and his Dad.

The HAMB gang in attendance minus Butt who left before the hokey ass group shot.

Mike's "service station" inside the lobby area of his shop and in case it's too hard to tell, that's Hollwud behind Mike..... I wonder who's "servicing" who.:D

At the end of the nite I presented Mike with a little metal replica of Big Olds as a token of our friendship and the time we spent working together on Big Olds. It was made by our very own HAMBer, 50Dodge4X4 especially for Earl Schieb.

I'd like to once again thank everyone who was able to come out and help me celebrate. Ya'll made the weekend very memorable for me. Thank you!

I'd also like to thank Roadstar for all the time he spent not only traveling down to TN with me every three or 4 weeks but for all the hard work he did on Big Olds as well. He took alot of time away from building his "real" customers hot rods, you know, those ones that pay the bills. His time spent on Big Olds is very much appreciated.

    Denise, Big Olds looks great.
Everyone who had a hand in Big Olds "putting on the Ritz" deserves a big old HAMB pat on the back. As the Aussies say "Good on ya, girl". And "Good on ya" to all that helped.
