Working on project planning. Platform in question is an old 1930's heavy duty truck ch***is. I am replacing the front and rear and intend for the bolt pattern to be chevy, either 5 on 4.75" or 6 on 5.5" at this point I can go either way. This ch***is came stock with 22x5" wheels and there is no great way to make the wheels fit the patterns I mentioned, plus they are ugly. But, I like the height and width and I'd like to find something that will work and look the part. I think I could live with 19-24" diameter and 4.5"-5.5" width. Looking for something with a late 20's to early 30's vibe that can work with the above mentioned lug patterns (with or without adapters (prefer without)). I've seen Coker's and tru-spoke's selection, but $2200+ before shipping and tires is well out of this cowboy's budget. I couldn't get Dayton wire wheels catalog page to load, but I ***ume they are probably at least in the same range. I'm not hung up on wires, I'm willing to look at anything that has the right look. Anybody have any other ideas or suggestions that I can look into? Thanks.
Are you looking for new wheels or old? I have a pair of old 20" solid disc wheels from a 20's Nash...6 lug pattern. Not sure on the width.
