I thought Mr Inappropriate could handle all 331 cubic inches of his Hemi by himself, but could I be wrong?

And please don't give me the $1500 excuse. You'd blush if you knew the dollar amount I had in my car at the time of the first Day of the Drags. I'm not a rich man and probably never will be...the barter system is my friend. That and good old American ingenuity.

I want to see you take that $1500 and build a car that will run even low 15's...that will be much more fun than a car that can't set a wheel on the track without feeling ashamed of itself. Don't take that as a slam, take it as a challenge.

So what's say we put the ****-covered internet megaphones down, go out to the garage for a few months, and go out to the track and race, fellas?

Maybe then we'll see how many transmissions I can break, how fast Aunti C's 331 inch wonder is, and how hard Barnett can cheer him on (ooooo....sorry I let that last one slip.)

Oh,I hear ya'. I think I've taken it just fine...for some reason YOU felt compelled to drag the van AND the jalopy into the mix. All I was doin was puttin' my money on AntiC's ride.

See, the thing is, that $1500 is being spent over a period of time. It has to be this way, since I haven't had the luxury of living at home in over 20 years. Not to mention starting a business and buying a house. Thanks for the "challenge", but I'll keep nickel and diming my way into a fun hot rod. As for the jalopy...trust me...it'll be more than enough fun for now. I know how quick it was in L.B.'s car, so I know it can only be quicker in a car that weighs HALF as much. Not to mention a couple of modifications I'll be doing to the set up.

 

I don't have a pink mustache, so it most likely won't create the same effect.

Will it have a poodle on it? That might influence my decision.

I guess that was some sort of "dig"? No problem with me...you call it "cheering", I call it supporting a friend and someone who is, basically, a brother to me.

Well, I don't know about the poodle on skirt but I do know about the big dog hang'n on the end of that pink mustache. Seems that's probably the only thing you'll be blowing at the drags...Uh...blowing past I mean.

Okay, just say you won't wear a skirt 'cause you think you're too cool. I'll put the skirt on when I race just for the hell of it. I don't have those kind of insecurities.

All I know is that if I keep talking **** I'll have to build a Jet Car for the Drags.

 

Day of the Drags is shapeing up. I say lets blow off all the Bracket raceing this year and use the whole day to do grudge matches.

It will be more fun that way.

$10 bucks says the Young Gun can tear up anything he puts in there.

This is the car I'm refering to with the 331 hemi.

 

getting back to the original intent of this post, i talked to b*** about the vicinity of my oil leak and he told me to check on the front p***enger side of the block next to the timing chain cover for two bolt holes. if there arent bolts in them the engine will leak. so i look and damned if there arent two open bolt holes. two bolts later, NO MORE LEAK!
i think i am officially leak free.
again thanks to everyone for their help. im not much of a mechanic but i'll sing at your wedding (or divorce, your choice).

Actually only one of those two bolt holes will leak...but it's easier just to put a short bolt in both of them than to try to figure out or explain which one.

One things fer sure, I'll have my digi-camera at this race to catch the skirt part.....
