Got back late last night and just woke up. I want to thank everyone for coming out and making the show a big success. Got to meet a bunch of HAMBER's though I know I didn't get introduced to quite a few. Good to meet HankCash even if there was no sandwich Congrat's to 62buford for taking best Hot Rod with his super clean triple carbed flat head Model A. The '62 was a contender for best Kustom too, nice job! Extra special thanks to those who went all out on exhibits---McPhail and the boys from Omaha for driving dowin in torrential rain---and McPhail with a chopped top and no windshield wipers!!! Flyrite---need I say more. If there was a best booth competition they would have walked away with it----great vintage motorcycle and tattoo memorabilia and of course awesome bikes and the underpowered EvilFordCoupe Russ Eggleston also fought the rain to bring his sick Hemi 28 Dodge pick-up from Iowa. He may not actually use all those carbs but hell, he drives this thing----even in the snow! Insanely good fabrication---he will definitely be a builder to watch. World Famous Sonny brought a bunch of cool bikes with nice theme displays (where's his Discovery channel special?) El Jefe braved the rain to bring Dhalia and Dan Reidy brought the sweet little yellow bucket and was the Patron Saint of the Arts this weekend----I think he bought something from everyone! I am thrilled that after much hemming and hawing reclusive couple Johnny Ace and the lovely Kali decide to attend and paint up as much as they could---when Kali wasn't getting tattooed anyway! Was it 3 or 4? BARNETT, Jeff Shea, 59nailhead, Chris Lain and the aforementioned Sonny were striping everything in sight. Thanks to all the clubs, Beatniks, Kontinentals, Outcasts, Fender Skirts, Coollows, Deadbeats and anyone else I might be forgetting. Deadbeats lived up to there name by having three members there----none with their cars!!! Kontinental Club and Big Easy made all the drunks feel at home I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of personal thank you's but I am worn out. THANKS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!
Major-big props to MARCY... this show was a blast. She was runnin' and bustin' hump all weekend, but things apepared to go off without a hitch. We know Houston ain't the easiest place to host one o' these things but this*****er was a success, fer sure... and I figure the 'Hot Rod' trophy had to be a mistake (!) but I'm damn proud of it. Big thanks to EL JEFE for opening the doors to the Continental Club for the weekend. I figure FlyRite 'Billy' put about 50 miles on 'Squank' via parking lot hot laps!

[ QUOTE ] anybody post some pictures someplace of the big shindig? [/ QUOTE ] There's been at least three great picture posts---HankCash, Bigknock and Crow. Go back a couple of pages---things move off the first two pages pretty quick these days!

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] No No...I fired him because he only did it for one night!!! -Jason [/ QUOTE ] I think he was too busy spending his money trying to pick up a fat chick on Friday [/ QUOTE ] Hey, I'm not fat! HC
Hell, the fat chick was way better for him than the skinny black haired girl that wouldnt leave him alone....." Do you think I'm pretty??" Scary. -Jason [/ QUOTE ] I think he was too busy spending his money trying to pick up a fat chick on Friday [/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Deadbeats lived up to there name by having three members there----none with their cars!!! [/ QUOTE ] Actually, there was 4 of us present! There was also 4 of us present in Kansas, the week before, for McPhail's shindig (where we had one car and a mini chopper present ). What we lacked in vehicle attendance, I think we made up for in One Shot slinging and tattooing...not to mention our rugged good loks and charm. Next year there will be more DEADBEAT vehicles, though. Great show, Marcy...THANKS again!!!
As we left the bar Billy was putting the moves on 2 fat dogs. . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . But come Saturday morning he wound up with 1 skinny dog and a muscle bound dog.
