I just thought I'd put it here in writing for all to see. We brought the truck out from NJ to Oklahoma for the Starbird show, and we had a blast! The hospitality that was shown to us by all involved was incredible! Daryl and his crew were so friendly and helpful in all aspects. From unloading and storing the truck, fixing a leaking coil that happened during transport, to setting it up at the show, taking the time to talk with us, even driving us late at night to dinner! Daryl, Donna, Barry and Jim are wonderful people, and we would gladly return to this show again. Our heartfelt thanks to you all! The show participants were just as friendly and we had a great time talking and hanging out with you all. Especially to Moriarty, Fritz and Caroll, and Rich. You guys kept us laughing al the time. It was thrilling seeing some old customs we haven't seen before, too. The Matador, the Lil Coffin, the Vampyr, and others as well. Even though most of the cars were'nt my style, I could appreciate the workmanship they put into them. Close by our truck, there was a group of extremely nice mild customs, probably a local club. I spent some time looking them over, and was very impressed. There was a Ford Vicky, a 55 Olds, and a 53 Chevy in the group, as well as a few others. The showrods were unbelievable. I can't imagine the countless hours put into making them as perfect as they were. Maybe we'll do something like that, but for now, just doing the Kart was enough! My only complaint was the lack of good beer! What's with that 3.2 crap???????? So, thanks to everyone involved with the show, participants and spectators alike, from the "Kopper Kart Build Team"....Vic Collins, Ron Blaufedder, and myself. And especially, thanks to Daryl for putting on a great show, and taking the time to talk with us and pose for pictures with the truck.
Yeah, thanks for bringing it to Tulsa. It was one of my favorite entries. I missed my opportunity to meet you guys. I saw you walking around, but never introduced myself. Great job. The Kart looks great! I hope to have you come to Tulsa again sometime. Reverend Jake
You're welcome. Hope to see you here again. We know the 3.2 isn't for everyone. Its what we call grocery store beer. To get the 6 point you have to buy from liquor store or licensed bar. Almost ALL of the 'public' beer (like at a ball park or public gathering) is 3.2 One thing, it makes for MORE sales to get the same results When I was a kid, the state was DRY!!!
You Guys are great! what a Blast "FA-GED-A-BOUT-ET" Next year I'll bring my Jimmy Buffett Margarita machine , LOL FRITZ
