Saturday I talked to Jerry and Devona ***us at the Starbird show and they wanted
me to post on the HAMB that hey have already improved the Spectacular in Salina.

For the guys that have been to Salina before, you noticed a couple of things. One,
that the park was full of the kool Kustoms and Hot Rods. Two, there was no more
room for growth. It is amazing how much room you need to hold over a thousand
Kemps. This is a kool problem to have. The City of Salina has contacted the ***us
and they have agreed to move the show to a bigger, better and cruising friendly park.
The Oakdale park has better facilities and just as much shade as the other park. This
is a great move for the show and I can't wait to get up there. This year I’m predicting
    1,500 Kempers...

For more info and pictures of the new area checkout their web site.

Thanks goes out to the City of Salina and to KKOA for finding us more room to cruize.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Hmmmmmmmm, looks like it's better than Thomas park...especially with concrete roads/curbs...for those of us that were at the '09 event, we know Thomas Park was out of room...

The 30th should be "spectacular"...I'll be there...

lot of space gets wasted every year the way they set up the food vendors and trailer/stage

this is a much better venue, but I am sure it sill cost alot more to rent. So we need lots of cars to support it. Very fun show!

I enjoy this show and plan on being there. More room to park will be a better show.

I was thinking that it started in Wichita. Regardless, I pulled up some satelite views and checked out KKOA site pics. I think it will be a change for the better. I'll be there with skirts on. the car!

Anyone that picks up the car council book at the Rocky Manginelli swap meet in Lincoln, ingore the Thomas Park and year break info. I turned it in for publishing before I knew of the venue change.
