Greetings once again boneyard!...been a little while since I looked at this thread....you asked about my FORD N series coe, mine is a 66 ...I like your B model!...I bleed FORD BLUE but I like MACKs and binder's and many off the wall trucks.....chevy's....not so much!
Howdy! We must be cousins! I also include Dodge, in my herd! That red sixty something ton and a half has a 5 speed overdrive transmission with a pto and a small Braden winch....... they are going on my 1975 long wheel base flat bed, 428 CJ powered one ton Ford.........hopefully. Bones
This one big enough? 1 ton 37 Dodge that was originally a fire truck in Virginia Sitting on a 72 Ford F-250 4X4 chassis and still has the 390 FE in it. Freaks people out when I pass them cruising along at 70 MPH. BTW the bed is over 9 feet long. It originally held a small pumper unit so the FD could get into closer areas to put out fires they couldn't reach in a full-sized fire truck.
There is nothing like the sheer fun, torture of buying and modifying a 46 IHC, KB-5 firetruck, 30 K invested, drove it over 20,000 miles cross country and learned a lot of lessons about how everything on the bigger trucks is a lot more expensive than most would imagine. No regrets, but doing this once was enough.
I love bigger trucks. An old big truck pulling a trailer with hot rods, antique tractors, or old cars is just plain cool. But then again just look at what I do for a living. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Bought this one because it was super cheap...1953 Chevy model 3800 18 months later...the old heap looked like this... I did this one because I love the looks of them...sold it in 45 minutes at the one and only car show I ever went to...I called it Howard Knapp....this thing was so big...it just barely fit in my 32-foot deep garage...
