Event Coverage Billetproof `09 trophy sneak preview

Hey, just thought I'd post some progress pics of the "Ford in a Ford" award trophy our club the Cigar City Flatheads is doing this year for Florida Billetproof 2009. It's about a 1/4 scale replica of a `40's era salt flats streamliner. I am shooting for the look of the Stu Hilborn car. I'd hoped I would have been done by now but I had a couple "do overs" to get the proportions decent. Check out the disc wheels I robbed off a baby stroller in the county dump! Anyhow here's what we have so far......





Yes it's got a replica V8 made of genuine Ford parts

Cool project. Awesome award .
Not that you need any advice but, you could:
use valves as the wheels?
cam gear as the rearend?
valve guide seal as the steering wheel?

Hmmmm, I have a "Ford in a Ford", probably not trophy worthy, but it's something to hope for...

Well I feel a little better! Almost done. Gotta get her scuffed down a coat of paint a few details and it's off to the pinstriper. My buddy Don Russo (aka Von Don) is gonna stripe it and letter it and it's off to Billetproof. See you guys there!
