The first Washinton Billetproof has shown how far it has come since the early days at the bowling alley. the last time i had attended before last weekend was 2001. about 570 cars at this one.. the level of cars has grown but unfortunately so has the number of shitboxes... but dont worry as I capture both on my site. Here are all my pictures. http://public.fotki.com/Boones/car_shows/billetproof-08/ some of my favs such a clean and detailed engine. a whole lot harder to pull off then most realize.. Here are my three favorite from different catagories. Fav roadster (could not get a good shot of this one,) favorite coupe favorite wagon/ late model car ) I wanted this one bad... THe rest can be seen via the link above.
Hey, that's my green roadster, got thirty miles to the gallon to and from the show. Now I drive it to the grocery store after checking the mileage, glad you like it....
So that was you with the monster camera. Great shots there Boones, I realy like pic # 64, man that was a nice wagon. And I love the shot of my peecup #11! Cool man. Glad you got all those pictures because I did'nt even see some of those cars.
This 32 is the one that i'd have driven out given the opportunnity, the dash turned me to mush. I've never seen such a GREAT selection of cars in one place, enough taseful 35/36 Fords to make me sweat and enough flathead powered T roadsters to make me drool...
Ken, you know what I like! When I get some time, this evening, I'll check out the rest.... I saw that '32 5w somewhere's else, man, I like that.
Glad everyone like the pictures Justdug, We chatted about your roadster, I was commenting how I wanted to build one for my wife but was not sure I would fit in it. If i do, your will be one of a very few tracknosed roadsters I would use as references. Jackel, really liked your 55, checked it out for a while. seeing rides like yours make me rethink my decision to sell my 57
'27s aren't as easy to find room in like Model As, might try thinking about that for both of you. There's nothing like a roadster especially for a weekend like that............
dvs28, its work to get those pic and I was actually disappointed in the quality, I think my batteries were getting low. its also why I was not at the cars kicking back talking with everyone... I enjoy talking pictures and sharing with those that can not attend. Gecko - contrats again on the 'Best Truck' award.. cool award for a shiny truck....
Great set of pictures! I must have been walking around too much...or too little as I did not see a lot of those cars.
Boones, Thanks for the compliment, your car is nice, you might regret it if you sell it, a couple of times i came really close to selling mine but guys like shakeypuddin 55 and steves 55 from portland really gave me good motivation to get it done. jp
What a great reminder of the picture threads you used to post. I miss your coverage that you used to bring to us so thanks for sharing. Frank
Thanks for the pick of my 32 coupe as your favorite coupe. Look for it at the Hot Rod-A-Rama aug 2 in Tacoma with a new period correct interior..........Z
