Hatch, I don't think you'll be able to make this show...you'll be too busy off somewhere selling your "gay" jewelry.

If you ever decide to get to the East Coast give me a jingle.I know the guy who puts on the various car and bike shows in Worcester, MA quite well.

The city and the cops are the most laid back Ive ever seen, 1000% support. They even block off the downtown streets for night time burnouts and FUN!
Daytime events, vendors, family stuff, etc, are in a city park along with another burnout area.

Hopefully Billetproof Detroit can put the burnout competition down wind. [IMG]

Did they even do burnouts pre '65 ?

  9. No burnouts......PEELOUTs instead back then.

Hey Kirk, I'm kicking the idea around of throwing a Billetproof down here in New Mexico. I'm kind of centrally located to Colorado, Texas, Arizona, and not to be forgotten..Oklahoma....did you ever get the e-mail I sent ya'?......Neal

    Here are the basics:

-Pre '65 cars, trucks and motorcycles ONLY.
-No Billet-clad, digital gauge, pastel graphic, named after a fifties song, trailer queen fluff-mobiles (If you think this means you then it probably does).
-No billet wheels or major accessories. Billet speed parts are fine. Mags are fine, just not billet.

The show is about traditional styled rods and customs inspired by those built through the mid sixties. Cars don't have to be primered but primer and suede are the stars of the show. Rust is your friend.

    DRIVE IT!

Apparently there is a show in Kentucky the same day as the Billetproof Detroit date. UGH! Did anyone know that. I just got an email about it. We definitely don't want to step on any toes. I hope they are far enough apart to not be competing.

  17. I was just checking my calendar...June 5 might be the weekend that McPhail is having his Wellington, Ks. shindig. The following weekend is the HotRod Tattoo Convention, in Houston. [IMG]

Actually the drive from northern Ohio and Indiana isn't that far to the KOA Double Date show in Florence Ky. Which is basicly southern Cincinnati. Which explains why we always have cars from that area. This year will be the 10th annual show and it seems strange that people still don't know about it. This being the 10th year we have been planning for some special things to honor the history of our hobby. Ask Dan Kahn, before his decision to leave R&C, we were asking him to come and spend the weekend with us.
