Well the time is almost here and I'm really getting excited. Lots of HAMB and RRT buds coming into town for the weekend. Anyway, who's coming and what are you driving?

Also, how about a set meet and greet time so those that are interested in meeting new folks and placing names with faces can do so easily. I'll have the "HAMB Lounge" sign that Peter Pan of Chicago made hanging from a canopy near the RRT BBQ grill. Big Olds will be parked close to that along with Enjenjo's black DeSoto. Anyone else that wants to park near there is welcome to as well. There will be a number of canopies for shade available.

I will have "Hello my name is...." name tags. Please humor me when I put your name on one and stick it on you. You can rip it off when you walk away from the meet and greet. I promise they won't be pink this time.:D

How about if we meet around noonish.

I'll be there with a whole gaggle of Flintoids. I'll be in the Peter Beater with it's new 'interior' sportin' a FOR SALE on it somewhere. Man, I sure wish Frankie could ride with me.
    Noon. See ya!

noon works for me since i plan to be there at a decent time this year. A little heads up on driving to the show...
I was at my Dads on monday and he lives on andersonville road. (thats the road the show it on) And they have it tore up from about a mile off of m24 to the next light (i have no idea what it is?) But it say no thru traffic and they have a detour. But you can get thru it so dont worry. Its not to bumpy but kinda dirty for you gold chainers with new paint;) :D
But the detour takes you down airport road i guess. it should just take you about a mile outa the way if you dont want to be a bad ass like me and drive thru it:D

    I'll be there! Well...duh.

Don't forget about the Friday night party at Boomer's Bar. I think the Twistin' Tarantulas are playing.

By the way, the figure 8 races start at 7pm, so be ready to head to town for dinner or hang out and party between the awards (at around 4pm) the smash-em-up festivities.

We should be having 3 cars and 7 or so guys coming up for the fun on Friday. Silent Rick should have his HEMI-powered 47 Ford... chopped and channelled there. Cadillac Bob will have his 54 Lincoln present, and Chris50 will have the 50 Ford Sedan making noise.

Hopefully we will get up there for the fun on Friday night. If not, we will meet up for the meet and cookies... I mean greet. :p

Due to my lack of recent shakedown issues, I don't think I feel comfortable making the 5 hour trip by myself.

I'll pick you up at Metro Airport (I live like four miles from there) and drive you to Denise's Hot Rod Hotel, where you will enjoy deluxe accomodations and award-winning hospitality during your luxurious two night stay in lovely Livonia!

(Did I sound like a game show announcer there?!?:D )

Yea, we're working on a departure time for Friday. Hopefully we can make it up in time to hang at the bar a while. Thirstyfillpickshisnose, Rick's '46 (not '47) will probably not be making an appearance due to lack of title and registration and the fact that the it's first time on the road was Sunday and that was a couple miles to my house. Although, Rick is going. It looks like my car and Berto's '52 (not '54) Lincoln (Mike might remember these cars if he showed up to garage night once in a while. :D ) will be making the trip. Django, if you've got your trans woes figured out and you just need some other cars to roll up there with, we'd love to have ya. If everyone can bail out of work a little early Friday, we're gonna shoot for an early afternoon takeoff. If not, probably around 6:00pm. We should know more tonight.

From METRO Airport, the show is 48 miles, taking the smart route.

Seriously, I can pick you up at the airport if I know when you're gonna be there!
