As far as OT cars go, I know I spent about 20 minutes having eye sex with that Bentley Touring car! I don't care where it is, how often do you get a chance to sneak a peek under the hood of one of those? The engineering it took to get all those linkages to work right is amazing. No wonder they cost so much. It was well worth the drive, and is still better than shows with 60% muscle cars. I know I'll be back.:) and most likely go to the S of S show as well.

Good job John on the best gasser award your car runs just as good as it looks and thats a big thing. Are you ready for Sunday? I ran the Falcon this last weekend and went 11.18 @ 121, best run yet. See you Sunday.

  5. I enjoy watching both of your cars at Milan...... I had fun, other than my 'banger blowing a exhaust manifold gasket (again, time for a mill-job)
like ten miles from home with about 35 more to go..... We were deaf and cross-eyed from the fumes by the time we got there, but we got there!! Looking forward to sins of steel in davisburg also..... I really dug the black coupe with the reversed chrome steelies........ Falling twice and getting wedged between the car and my wheelchair was the nail in the coffin for the fenders and runnig boards, but then again I never wanted to keep em anyways!

    Thanks, James

P.S. Was nice meeting you buffalo Bill and Steve from belleville

Thanks for all the great pics Aaron. Wish I could have been there, but I suppose it is kind of a long drive (although I do need to get up there to see Matt and family:D)

GREAT shots! Thanks for posting. Looks like an AWESOME day in the Motor City for a hot rod and custom show. Tons of cool cars and peeps just hanging out enjoying the day. From the photos it seems like the calibur of cars got better this year with LOTS of cars in the photos that had never been to a previous BilletProof. Keep up the great job Alan, Melissa and Shaggy!

and Hippie6, why don't YOU take charge of the model car contest next year cuz I'm sure you could do a better job, right?? PM Alan with your phone number so he can make sure it's gets on all the promo stuff all year and you can handle all the phone calls, prep work, set-up, run the thing, little trophies for the kids, clean up, etc.

  16. Car looked cool. I guarantee you were the only chopped Packard there.

  17. It's Alans show but it's everyone else's respnsibilty to run it WTF is that all about? WOW nice way to treat someone that has a issue with a show you seem to be so passionate about.

As my boss always says, don't whine about something unless you have a solution for the issue.

I had a great time at the show. I saw a lot of cool Hot Rods and ran into a bunch of friends. I also got to bring home a trophy for "Best Engine", cool!

Had a great time hanging with Dead Last Detroit guys. The 50 made it there with no issues. I even picked up a 1950 MI plate for it. Good location too, I been there with other shows.
