I am trying to stay positive with the Shi# weather forcast I just saw. Saturday 88-90, Humid, 40% chanceof rain. WTF!!!!!

 

Make that 2 Pete. Some small things to fix but i drove it today.

Screw the morning you leave. Just leave. Last year it was gorgeous, rained like hell, and then cleared up and looked great again.

Bring a towel in a baggie if you're afraid your ass might get wet on the way home.

Looks like my brother and I are driving out from Rochester, NY early Saturday am to check the show out.

I just got done re-doing my entire upper end and have very few miles on it too...But its gonna make it...(i hope)

 

Looks like the weather gods may smile on us. Partly cloudy 85 with a 20% chance of showers or 80% chance of no showers depending on how you like to view the world. Gonna be a blast. Anyone know if you can sell trinkets by your ride ( i.e. Striped stuff?)

 

Man, I broke one of the bolts that hold the Ford hubs to my Buick drums yesterday on the way to work. Fixed it on my lunch break but I'm sure glad it happened there and not on the highway at 6:30 in the morning on Saturday. See everybody there.

I've had a few things by Big Olds before for sale and no one said anything to me that I couldn't. There's quite a few stripers under the pavillion striping and selling though. It's probably be cooler temp-wise and more fun with the other guys under there.

 

Well you got tonight and tomorrow night to put some miles on her.....

 

Thanks Denise. I am trying to help out one of the Koolest car guys around Mike "Gator" Gaydos. He is a walking Rod and Custom encyclepedia. He has had some hard times do to some health issues and had to sell his all steel T built back in the 60's and his Autorama/ Oakland winning Trike. I was gonna grab some of his Kool stuff from to sell and pass the money on to him.He was inducted into the Stripers Hall of Fame this year and lays stripes on anything that will sit still long enough to get a brush on it. He lurks here from time to time.

Put a few miles on the Beater last night. Night/day difference. Steers way better, runs like a champ. Now I'm excited.

Great news!!! Went and filled up the '32 a couple of hours ago and by the time I got home (2 miles) the bitch wouldn't run. I've had half of it apart and checked everything without pulling the engine. I can't believe I've got a bad batch of gas as the station is right on the X-way and they pump more gas than anyone around.
Almost 7 years and that thing has never let me down or missed a beat. So............................looks like it's the spectator parking lot with the Blazer tomorrow. At least I've got the rest of the summer to get it ready for Hundred Car Pileup.
