I'm flying up and leaving TACOMA early Saturday morning......but I don't think the gauge in the Subaru is going to tell you how much gas you have left............
A few of us from the Bremerton/Silverdale area are heading out about 6am. You could sure run with us Coupedeville or anyone else. Should be blowin through Tacoma around 7ish. From hwy 16 to I-5 southbound. B
Ironbuyer.I would like to hook up with a group .I will be coming frome Kent and plan to take the same route you mention.Where and what time friday afternoon will be the place to be?Please post me back and we can exchange numbers if you are open for one more rod...
sounds good nine inch! my buddy actually lives in home out that way and he is rollin to. so i will get a hold of him and let him know to look for you guys. what are you gonna be drivin? i live off of the s. 72nd street exit in tacoma. maybe we can meet at the sharis resturant right there at 6 45 or so. let me know!
Now L.A.'s over and it's getting closer...what's the plan for the Saturday travelers coming from up north?
Everyone I know from up north is leaving Costco in Woodinville on Friday at around eleven A.M., following Oldbeet to Puyallup to meet up with the guys at Amocat. Then we'll be headed south on the slow road to the show for the Friday night mayhem, which I hope to create on my own. Oh wait, I'm an old fart with motel reservations so I'll probably need a nap before I start any trouble. But, there will be trouble, especially if those Swindlers come along, hate those guys, that big guy named Keith in particular, pretty sure I can sucker punch him when he's not looking. Down for the count! What's that they say? The bigger they are the harder they fall? We'll see.....Never a blind eye......................
Doug, are you heading down on the slow roads to Puyallup as well? BTW, hit Keith low and he'll never get back up!
O.K O.K I am still in LA, but startng to head north tomorrow. Going to be on the road for the next week or so...Thinking about meeting nine ince and company in Silverdale area. Anybody else headed down from the olympic peninsula? Is this gong to be weather permitting kind of deal or what? I am getting spoiled from the Cali sun. Mark, Are you heading down on I-5 or coming across on theboat and meeting the Kitsap guys. Brian, call me when youget a chance. Rich
Most the Spokane dorks will be heading out Thursday, but do to work complications I will not be leaving until mid-day Friday. I will be at the Fri night party, hope to meet everyone and get drunked. If you see my coupe, come by and say hi...I might even let you buy me a beer
Chris, Are you driving the coupe from Spokane? That would be a motivator for me. Shit, I have friends and work tryying to pull me different directions that weekend. All I really want to do is see if the pickup will make the trip Probably 16 hours, round trip. Who's coming up from the South? What is man to do???
No, gonna *Cough* trailer it. I think 300 miles one way in a stock motored A would be suicide. Besides, I bought 5 flatheads I have to pickup over there, and can load them into the back of the truck.
These flatheads you speak of..are you going to sell any of them? i desperatly need one now that i have my roadster body home and ready to put on the chassis, so im swaying towards usuing a flathead v8 instead of a 4 banger
Fuck that Keith guy huh? Well, we'll see what happens at round 1 this weekend...you're heading into the fire you know...Swindler camp 08...Bring your big boy panties Doug.
Oh, you want a piece too beet? I see how it is...all the little munchkins like to pick on the big guy. Go ahead, take your swings...We'll see what happens when a certain smogger 460'd Merc goes up on the line against the "Panty Dropper".
. No gas gage isn't an issue. Fill the tank, drive a distance like a hundred miles. fill it again and calculate the gas mileage. Then fill up when you are down to the 50-75 mile cushion level. I've done it for 35 years. But that is a long trip from Tacoma in a shoebox, 55 miles. We might have to take a run over White for the day in the box with wheels just to have a look.
We will be pulling onto I5 heading North from Salem at about 1:00 - 1:30 Friday......anyone else running a similar schedule from the area want to hook up and convoy?
Keith is a cupcake, It's Sam you gotta worry about. He's always packing heat. I was gonna fly out for this show, but the Swindlers don't like me hanging out cause' I'm not "TRAD" enough for them. Fags.
Hurst will be out on the road by high noon, plans to meet up with "Jimmy" once on 5. Keep any eye out for the big red buldge!
