This was a good show with plenty of very good cars and not much trash. The prices are very reasonable, anyone who complains is likely the same nob that wants a discount at the drive thru because they don't want lettuce and onions......... I put on shows for a living, its been my primary deal for 20 years. It's not easy, its less easy at reasonable prices. Doesn't seem that anyone is greedy at BilletProof. Just wait till the local police figure out that there's thousands of people, cheap beer, and no uniforms getting paid $125/hr to walk around and enjoy the show. Fire Dept too. You should shut down those fools doing the burnouts. Those clowns are almost always the least likely to be able to handle it if it gets away from them or something goes wrong. That is a show end-er the first time. It can happen and if left unattended it will, I know from where I speak. Pat them on the ass on thier way out and give them a flyer to a fun drifting event or something. Some pics of my favorites and from the trip up and back........... a good weekend.
I thought it was a cool show. My wife and I had a good time. $10 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things. $4 beers! I can't remember the last time I paid less than 7 bucks at an event that wasn't BYOB?!
The Lions have the beer concession at the CA Billetproof show. Profits go to charity in the local community. They set the prices. I'm pleased with the way they do things. particularly since they periodically give me a free beer
I know Alan allready explained the bump in pricel. But even if he didnt what's wrong with making a profit? Most people that go to show's of any size have no idea the cost involved in putting them on.As Alan said increased price seldom result's in bigger profit . Just reflect's aditonal cost of doing buiseness JMO Gregg
Strangers had free hot dogs, links, and burgers... I was actually stoked to see so many people had BBQ's set up this year. Next year I think we will step up our game and do some tri-tip.
spoken by someone who knows his shite. Anyone even care to guess at how much it takes to put on the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona? its a pretty penny. there is a reason why bigger events (in any genre, concerts, car shows, sporting events, state fairs...) cost more than smaller ones, and it has little to do with profit. whats up Gregg? Hope everything is going good for ya. I'll give you a call in a week or so. I'm taking a break for a week or two to work on a few projects, and catch the opening of deer season.
