Shit, this means i'm gunna have to get my car running good and respectable

  2. I will completely agree with this. Our experience here was the only bad point in an otherwise great trip. The owner was disrespectful, dishonest and an all around asshole. ANYTHING I can do to stop business from going here I will do. Just thinking about it gets my blood boiling. Fuck.

I'll remove the Relax Inn from the list... actually I'll leave it on the list but tell everyone to avoid it. I'll also send a note to the Chamber or Commerce relating your stories to them. Nothing they can really "do" to the guy, cept not point business in his direction.

I'll have some hotel deals set up for ya'll now that Thanksgiving is over.

The cruise night is looking good. I'm waiting for the insurance underwriters to come back with a policy that will make the city happy, once we have that its all a go. :D

Thanks Choptop - at least four of us already reported to the Chamber Of Commerce and the BBB. The more the better. Looking forward to 2009!

Him coming out yelling Friday night is not the whole problem, we may have even deserved to be told to quiet down......:D

What you may not know is the details of how he fucked us on our reservations, did not have a handicap access room, did not give us the correct rooms, charged us over the agreed price, called us on our cells while we were at the show and threatened to leave our stuff on the doorstep and told us absolutely no drinking or hanging out on his property Saturday night...we must be IN our rooms. We get to our rooms after the show and he took beer out of the mini fridge, turned off our A/C etc.......and we cant go sit outside and BS over a beer. Fuck that!!!!! And you know why he got so pissed.... Because the cops didnt.

Either way, we had fun, hope to see you all at a better no-tell ho-tel next year.

If you were there and saw it all, then you know that all the shit that went on DIDN'T include all the people from the show that were staying there. Although the manager assumed it did. As I remember, you asked some of us to keep an eye on your car and you took off for a while. Saw it all? The hotel pulled alot more crap on us than you may know about. Just trying to avoid other HAMB members having the same type of problems. If you were happy, great, I hope you have a good stay there this year. The rest of us will just stay at another hotel and enjoy Choptop's kick-ass show.

Both are looking pretty good. I wont say something is a "go" until its set it is set in stone... but the applications are in, the insurance is signed off and we are just working out a few little details. But none of these details are a deal breaker one way or another.

Entries are looking good... the word has gotten out that the show was a good one last year and now more people want to come out and party with us. COOL. There are going to be some cool race cars coming this year as well. Its going to be a GOOD show.

I'll be up at the Portland swapmeet hanging ut with the Slo-Pokes and handing out fliers... stop by their booth at the race track and say howdy.

What happens if you pre-register and you show up to the event and your car is deemed not worthy? Do you get your money back? I ask this as I have lokar dipsticks on my car and don't know if I will be able to change to something else before the show. I know this sounds stupid but it's what's keeping me from preregistering.

If it's run like last years show, you shouldn't have a problem with your dipstick. Saw lots of "odd" parts last year.

a lokar dipstick is fine... as long as the rest of the car is done up in traditional style. If you are still unsure, just email me a couple pictures of the car.
