There's a contact email on their website, seems like that would be the best source to ask.

The owner/promoter was fighting cancer back before the whole US got shut down during the flu thing. I know that locally at the Washington Billetproof event he was trying to get someone to run it for him, and share the profits, but nobody wanted the deal. Instead the Estranged car club started their own old time drags event, and has done a great job of keeping it restricted to period cars; much better than Billetproof did!
I think anyone who wants a period era correct event at their local track should get a club, or clubs together and set it up themselves. It can be run by club members in ***ociation with track owners, and not only work, but be run well. The Estranged CC event at Riverdale Raceway requires entrants to send in a picture of their car and be approved before they can enter. A great way to keep things era correct.

Jeff Allison, the artist, and a partner took it over. It's spelled out on their website. https://www.billetproof.com/

The Billetproof shows such as Centralia Wa Take a lot of time and effort and money to put on. That is any show of any level that is put on in a rented venue such as a fairground or other closed facility where entants and spectators pay an entrance fee.
The venues always seem to come up with more flaming hoops for the promotor or club to jump through and deal with too. Plus they want a bigger share of the gate along with the actual rent on the venue or figure out how to add on extra costs. Ask any club or promotor who puts on a larger event annually .

I have to agree that it is a challenge for a promotor or club to put on a traditonal vehicle event of any level be it drags or show without someone trying to brother inlaw their way in with a vehicle that flunks the test.

  8. Thats a good update. Jeff should have looked at Sodak for a Central location. (the geograpfic center of the Nation is here) Years ago when Kirk! was still running the show we had discussed bringing an event here. I know of a dozen great venues. Fast forward to the present, we never shut down and the Sturgis Rally never missed a beat these last few years.
