Folks Of Interest Billy the Kid?

Hello! I'm Bill Stepp's daughter.

 

Dad had many things painted on the cars which meant various things to various people. It was his way of communicating the varied audience he had contact with. For instance, he had "My ***is Draggin" painted on the rear of the hauler for racers, the notorious "Wanted" behind the "Billy the Kid" thumbing officials and even one from MAD magazine: "It's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide". Which means, "It's insane to bribe the cops with fake money" and he had that painted in the firewall of the Dodge Demon. There were so many and many of them even hidden from the public...he communicated with people without saying a word.

Thanks so much for explaining that to me. Amazing that 43 years after reading that a few times I still remember that saying. Now if I could just remember that the milk goes in the fridge and not the cupboard! lol!
