I watched it and was glad they showed them working on a car not just drama.
I was a little disappointed with the exhaust work on the Impala.

I had to work late and missed it, but the promos looked pretty good. Now if the producers can keep from screwing it up we might have a watchable show there. (Very much unlike that Rods and Wheels show .......gag!)

Every week there is a new "car show" on tv, they are cranking them out like potato chips.

I was really hoping that with a ***le like *****in' Rides, and the fact that everyone that worked there looked like a cool car guy, I was disappointed to see a '34 mopar 4 door bling street rod as the opening build...yuk... As for the show itself, it was refreshingly free of drama except for the usual deadline scenario. I'll watch it again and hope for the best.

If you saw that 34 in person you might change your mind,as well as the 39 buick 4 door they did a few years back. They have opened the door so to speak on 4 doors. Both of those cars were a major hit at pleasonton GG'S show.I would have never looked at or paid any attention to a 4 door until then.Besides it's what the customer wanted for whatever reason and that's who pays the bills. I think 4 doors are coming on and that's ok. As long as the drama stays out of this show i think it could be a hit.

Good show but the need to show a lil more of the build and less talking.

What is it with every car show having a "deadline " ?? Can't they just build a damn car without an auction being 4 days away ? That is so stupid and so scripted. It is like there will never be another auction ever again.

    Ha! You forgot a couple.
    ---Show things out of sequence.
----Engine timing ALWAYS 180 out on first start attempt so flames shoot out of carb. Then everybody cheers when it finally starts. (Geeze)
The show that started 'em all - "American Hot Rod"- never said anything about how much those cars cost the customer. Most of them six figures easy.

Hehe, yep, and the new catch phrase that all the car shows use when something goes wrong is "WE'RE SCREWED" ! :D Next time when one of them has some issue watch, and I bet that is exactly what they say. We laugh every time we hear it.

Plus, the station milks the hell out of each episode. They run the same show a hundred times over and over again.

I think this place would make for some good TV stock footage. Just think of that. Build threads, arguing, surprises, disappointments, special interests, politics, aphrodisiacs, erectile dysfunction, fashion, drama, history.....you name it. Webcams in every garage, edit every week. 30 minutes, an hour.......or a 24/7 channel feed. Rather watch this **** then anything.......

I thought the detail on the floor pan and ch***is of the four door Mopar was excellent. Nice to see people do that level of fab and solve problems like the fibergl*** roof insert.

The sad part is, the people who REALLY like all the drama ********, are the one's who can't even change their own oil. They don't own or never will own, an older car, much less a Hotrod. They are the one's who'll buy the **** sold in the commercial breaks. They are the target audience. That jack*** at the car show, who wants to know if your Deuce was built in 6 weeks? He tunes in every week.

Watch the History Channel and LEARN something.
