bitmap images?

How do ya change a bitmap image so it can be uploaded to HAMB? is it simple-hope so I have some good ones and want to convert to JPG designation....?????

Try calling up the file in irfanview;

Click on the pulldown "file";

Click on "save as";

At the bottom of the box that comes up will be "save as type" with an option box beside it.

Click on the down arrow on the right side of the option box.

Choose "jpg" and finish saving.

Done.

 

Thanks- I tried that and saved it -but later tried to upload the same one here to find it wont go....

 

Choprods, this is how I do it...
Rt. click on the picture.
Choose OPEN WITH, and select PAINT.
click on file, and choose SAVE AS.
Select 'save as type' arrow, and click on jpg. You can also rename it if you want. click SAVE. It will go to the same folder as a jpg.
Close paint, and check the saved pic for size. You can re-size it in paint if you have to by opening with paint again, click on 'image' and then "stretch and skew". You may have to do it several times to get it below 70k for posting. Once you do it a few times it's really easy.
Once you save the jpg you can delete the Bitmap.
