Sorry to interrupt here but is Star a weekly thing now? I lnow it used to be every other Wednesday... BTW welcome aboard Keith....truck looks great!
Wow...that's kinda cool! I haven't gone to a "park" night in years....but the Star was always my favorite. I really dig that place. Might not be a bad spot for a sort of half ***ed-Hokey *** get together....some Thursday when the weather is better. It's 3 pm and it feels like rain in Braintree....I'm sure it'll pour the minute I get out of work.
Let me try another picture. This is a side view from last year. Grills not done and the rear is a couple of inches highjer this year. Mike - We'll try to meet up next week. Keith
keith, that's the pic i was trying to take! that shot says loooow all the way. i forgot to mention it but welcome to the board too, hope to see ya around here more often, and next week at star it is! i just got home from work and it's looking pretty ugly out there now, like it's going to open up any second. later, mike
I guess I made the right call about not going to Star tonight. I'll give it another shot next Thursday. Congrats Keith, You seem to have posting pictures down without my help. Not that I could help much, I don't know if I did it right until I check the post to see if it went out OK. Now let's see some pictures of the Merc.
The weather wasn't looking good here either so rather than Star I went to Rons to check the progess on his 32 coupe "de-tune".It's coming along. If anyone has Sunday open around the Cape, you should check out Main Street in Hyannis. They shut the road down and load it with rods. Nice day. I think I finally have this picture thing down, at least one at a time. I compressed a few so I'll throw them up.
last one. This is at Scussett Beach last year. We do a burn out contest to raise money for the Lions Club. You should have seen this other 33 PU melt it's tires off!! I have all the build pictures from last year. I'll post them in the next tech week.
No rain at all, but a long *** wait for my cheeseburger and shake. There were a few trad rides there: '41 ford ragtop, couple '58 chevies, '55 chevy wagon.
Keith, I live less than a mile from Scussett Beach. Please let me know when you do that burn-out thing. I know I can't match your truck, but if I put 60 psi in some 600-16 I could make some smoke.
Jay , hopfully there will be some better weather next week. WE went to a local cruise night tonight. It just started raining here. Hope to see you next week. Jerry
jay, sorry you made the trip for no hamb'rs. i was hoping you would have seen my reply to keith where i said we weren't going to attempt the trip over there due to the threatening rain and thunderstorms, sorry about that man. we ended up going to the Blue Onion Diner/Scramblers in woonsocket and we still got rained on, but at least we were only 15 minutes from the house instead of 45 minutes over at star. we hope to make the trip over there next week though if the weather is cooperative. hope to hook up with you soon, later, mike
