Black n flamed, an introduction

G'day guys,

I'm Col from Perth, Western Australia, little brother of Bucketmouth. My roadster was built from the ground up with much help from BucketMouth and a good mate called Phil. I started building my '34 at the end of 1998, and it was an 8 year build (wasted about 5 of those years).

I always wanted a '34 coupe but, when i was ready to build, there were a few being built or just finished. In 1998 I saw a local '34 Hiboy that looked really tough, it was a magenta (dark pink) colour and I thought, "that would look kick ***, black with flames". So with alot of inspiration from BucketMouth's rod and a mix of '34, I came up with a plan to build mine.

It runs a dart ford block punched out to 393 cubes with aussie CHI billet aluminium heads and all the good stuff, From the intake to the sump it was all pro built, then topped with a 6/71 and 4 two's. The motor is built for 700 hp but, is currently detuned for street duties, she's back up by a C10 fully manualized and reverse shifted auto, and bringing up the rear is an LSD 9 inch.

Welcome aboard Col, the guys like pics, and I looked at your avatar pic, looks cool.
Guys don't bust his balls to much, least he's making an attempt at an intro, seems a lot don't nowadays.

So you were wasted for 5 years? How long have you been clean. Did you do 12 step or cold turkey?

I don't know how to tell you this ,however here goes, you put the steering on the wrong side.

 

Its O.K., seems they get a different view of the road from the other side of the world. K6
