But we knew that going in! Both Bonesey's coupe and CTaulberts roadster have changed my mind about what color the roadster pickup is gonna be. Granted it will be black primer, but black on black it will be. Now if I could just get rid of those pesky 16" no hole Halibrands so I can put some black Ford steel wheels back on it....
I think there are a few steps toward darkness that those pesky mags will get if left to the hands of nature....then you'll be back in the BnBnB game! That '55 is triple black and triple BAD!
This thread has been running, on and off, for six years. Many great-looking cars have been offered, and it might be time for a "best of" conversation. I would nominate this '34 Vic, posted several years ago. I don't think I've seen any car that was better suited to this black/black treatment; it just looks amazingly elegant:
Back in post #240 there was a picture of a deuce truck that just flat knocks me dead everytime I see it. That would have to be my favorite black on black on black Hot Rod.
I have always liked all black. Kinda sinister... This is a 60 Impala, original 348, trips and a four speed.
Mines like that right now, at least till I get the body work done. Faded out 6 year old DP90 black sealer. I hate flat black but it's how I'm rollin'. I put stock leaves in the back so it's not draggin' ass anymore. I want it to have a little rake eventually. The white top is going away too, I don't dig it.
beautiful cars in this thread, sadly i have never had a single car thats straight enough to be painted black. mine are always white on white ,with a little rust thown in! very sad isn't it:>(......... but i ALWAYS have a good time!!
I think it will take a long time to out due all of the wheel vintique- radial white wall red wheel combos out there!
