That guy is not afraid to blow shit up and keep on going. He has probably had that motor in and out 500 times. Did you see the episode where they changed out the gacked up Hemi on a picnic bench at the dragstrip? Pure hot rod glory at it's finest. That car runs 8.50s, by the way. He could clean up at the HAMB Drags. -Abone.
Blasphemi will be a great car when he gets sorted out, but damn that thing is always broke. I gotta give Finnegan props for showing the shit with the shine and not hiding the "fails".
Yes. Like I posted before, Mike works with the car. Treats it as a learning experience. He learns new things and applies it to improve the car. The 55 has come a long way since Mike and David slapped it together and drove it cross the country. Mike built the car for drag week, and it continues to evolve.
This will be a car that gets replicated years from now. Sort of funny, because it is, in my opinion, loosely based on the two lane blacktop car. At least it has its own distinctive attributes. But it is a flat black 55 that was built to cross the country racing. Nice job, and I agree with previous posts about him being a great guy that doesn’t hide the failures that come along with trying to do what he is doing.
Serious question now though....how much do you guys think that Motor Trend being the parent company of the programs that people pay to watch and the corporate sponsors who get their products showcased DO CONTRIBUTE to the cars owned by Finigan, Freiburger, Tony Angelo etc.???.... they MUST be kicking something in right??
I hope they are lining his pockets with lots of cash!! I enjoy watching others prosper. Wish i was so successful!! I don't know any of them personally, but from watching all of the "roadkill" related shows, it seems that Finnegan is a die hard gearhead in every aspect. He's obviously smarter than I am, and enjoying the hot rod life to its fullest!!! I hate that guy
Probably helps with parts but Mike has his own YouTube channel independent of MT too (Finnegan's Garage) which is very entertaining. He also occasionally posts on a boating forum that I'm on as he used to be very active in the SoCal / River hot boat world.
