This has been covered in one way or another, but the thread are old and some manufacturers don't do it any longer, but... Does anyone know of a kit or a way to convert my original BLC 682's, which have a sealed beam headlight bulb, to something which has turn signal internal to the headlight bulb? Thanks~
Outside of a couple off horid looking street rod headlight bulbs that use an H-4 bulb no. United pacific does show one with leds at the bottom but it is still way too street roddy for most guys on here United Pacific S2010LED United Pacific Conversion Headlights | Summit Racing that one isn't as **** ugly as most of them.
I've seen 7" sealed beams lights with a clear section on the reflector so that an indicator or parking light can shine through. Plan b could be halogen conversions. Before you puke, do bear in mind there are pretty authentic domed lens versions. These can come with a separate light. Chris
I’ve seen way worse but not bad. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2560114512...MI55-A9N7F_wIV_BitBh0FCgyYEAQYFyABEgIi1_D_BwE
Personally I'd just run a pair of small amber motor cycle turn signals that didn't draw much attention to themselves except when they flashed. Similar to this one from Drag Specialties. eBay item number:304163398360
Those are the ones with H-4 bulbs that I was originally thinking about. They have been around for a long time and aren't real ugly.
Those are Euro-spec lights, but that lamp is really designed to be used as a parking light when the headlights are off. If used as a turn, it's not very visible when the headlight is on if you use a clear lamp. You can install an amber lamp, but then the light looks weird. Another issue is that's another entry point for moisture which will eat the silvering off the reflector.
IDK the current legality, but headlights have been wired to flash and act as a turn signal. Hell the new hot thing with OT late models is the light goes off and the fancy LED surround flashes.
These damned fools around here wouldn't recognize a hand signal from a car if you slapped them in the face with it. Once in a while you see guys on bikes use hand signals but I haven't seen hand signals from cars for years.
Better? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cl***ic-...p4429486.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Admittedly a UK site, so drive on the left, but it's a VW source so I'd expect similar must be available for drive on the right (US an Europe principally) and obtainable in the US. Chris
Your 1932 roadster was manufactured prior to 1952. You aren't required to have directional signals. https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/**I/266/266-42.htm Code: CHAPTER 266 EQUIPMENT OF VEHICLES Lights, Signals, Flashers, Reflectors and Flags Section 266:42 266:42 Directional Signals. – It shall be unlawful to drive on any way in this state any motor vehicle registered in this state which is manufactured or ***embled after January 1, 1952, unless such vehicle is equipped with directional signals approved by the director. Well...it's a reproduction ch***is and body with no VIN #...AND I have open front wheels. I have to get a NH "street rod registration"/***le/plates. To be able to get this, a cop or a qualified salvage yard guy has to confirm that the vehicle is safe and in working order...this typically leads to turns signals being necessary. Thanks though, I'll be sure to bring up RSA 266:42 when the inspection is occurring - I'm sure they don't do many or these ***les and they are not 100% on the rules. maybe I can get 266:42 to "apply".
