I'm looking for proper rivets to attach the tags to BLC 682J headlights. My tags are good, but I'd like to take them off to paint the lights rather than masking them. If you know of a source, I'd like to know it. Thanks

I have cut off the inside of the rivet to remove the tag then after blasting the bucket, cleaned off the tag and rounded off the remaining rivet with a brush and dremel tool. After painting, this was put back on, held by trim cement. Seldom is the best bucket and best tag on the same light. Amaziong how common these lights are and how good they look. Good Luck: Fred A

    OTB Gear has them. http://www.otbgear.com

I didn't see them on the website but they told me on the phone they had them. Give them a call.

I use split rivetts. You can get them at a good hardware store.

You can use small, like 4/40 brass machine screws (use the size screw that fits in the tag hole best). Just spin them in a lathe to the correct head diameter, and to turn off the slot at the end. Use a small amount of lock- tite on the nuts. When you grind off the old rivet, do it on the inside of the headlight bucket so you don't F-up the tag.
