Seeing that the Stude went on ebay that will give me a little money to play...anyone here ever build headers for a Fullsize Buick???
The shortys that T/A perfomance sells for 63-65 Rivieras are pretty damned tight. You might check into a set of those. Scroll down about half of this page & you'll find them. They're like 400 bucks. http://www.taperformance.com/headers.htm#Buick Header Applications
T/A makes two different sets of headers for the nailhead. The shorty's and some full length headers. The only block huggers I know of are Sanderson, and they're pricey. See if the T/A's will fit...
TA Permormance's shorty headers are the ONLY shorty style 'block-hugger' style headers readily available...$379.00... Believe me, I've looked for years... TA finally started producing them this last year, and I'm planning on getting them this summer... Sanderson quoted me over $1000 to build a set of headers to fit my Rivi..!!! Yeah rriiiight..!!!!! Next... Let us know what you end up running and how it works out... Later...
yeah, Sanderson has nailhead headers for fenderless cars no sweat, but trying to find them to fit a full-size car with a nailhead, forget about it...nobody... TA Performance all the way...
Shit $389 for the raw and $410 for the chrome aint bad at all!! bookmarked that shit...thanks again!!

If you notice the "shortys" exit to the rear, Where "blockhuggers" exit straight down...
If there is an interference problem it's usually the steering box. But you should be ablw to judge it from the pics. I'm hoping the full length will fit in my '57 with the Jag suspension, but if not I'll settle for the shortys.
