Drill & tap new holes in yr linkage to change the Ratio , ( like Enderl set up ) then it will Chang the the amount of pull @ gas pedal, Now it will be completely adjustable !! On my Blown set up , I broke 3 of Lokar cable end at the Carb side , ( like in first pic of cable) Switched to Morse cable
My set-up is all home made and works a treat. I use a marine grade standard style cable (not morse) The marine ones use a Stainless steel inner with a liner, very smooth.
I use a angle gauge to set up the arms to make sure they are perfectly even. I have not seen a post yet on toe loops. they are a great safety device if the throttle sticks open.
Some thing That I Recommend & I Do ,, If You have a Bad A$$ power plant , make shore you can find the KILL switch ( Key ) Quick & Easy !! Thing can go Wrong real Fast ,Stuck Throttle This was a well known Street Racer Car for over 46 yrs , 5.90s-6.0s in 1/8 on street Tire's Was Just Redone , then Two week Later ----
Sure does work. A cable is all i have ever run. I push down on the gas pedal to open the throttle. Springs refurn it. Pulled back with the toe if needed. I should clarify that i dont use a flimsy little cable. I use a morse cable that can work as a pusher or puller.
The ch***is shop in michigan sells the morse cables suitable for this type of application. They are offered as regular and extra flexible. I always go extra flexible. They also sell a full ***ortment of items to hook it all up. The ch***is shop has a online catalog. Its one of my favorite places to buy cool parts for the car. Check it out.
I was looking at good vibrations. The shortest cable push pull they sell is 24 inches. Moved the pedal around and spaced out. I think the problem is the lokar cable. It just feels rough. Pulling 2 carbs and a TV cable. I may have to go with a different pedal and a solid linkage with heim ends like a stock car.
