I have the opportunity to buy a supercharger that looks like the Eaton used on the Ford Super Coupe and Jeeps. What would be the advantage of using it on a 351 Windsor? It seems that the $200 price tag would be worth it. It's dirty but there is no bearing noise when it's spun.
If that's from a Tbird super coupe, it's an M90. It will make some noise but not much boost. There was a guy who modified the efi lower for a mounting plate and fabbed a drive for those but he went out of business years ago. He was using M112s. That's a serious can of worms you're looking at. The biggest ***et of the Eatons is the vacuum byp*** valve that allows the blower to not create drag at part throttle running down the road. It wouldn't be my choice but we all know that if you spend enough time and resources, almost anything can be made operational.
Thanks for that info. I was sitting around having one more beer than I should have and cruising through FB when I saw this. I immediately went into that "I wonder if that would work on my OT beater pickup" mindset. You've saved me a lot of time and money. If you're ever in beautiful downtown Cleveland, TN, look me up and I'll buy you a beer.
