    thanks for your replys i have read that if you us flat top piston would cut the power way down would like to get the power that they had when they were made.

    Not familiar with Lincoln 430 ?
    If cutting down crank to smaller size
    To BBC , Sounds like parts crank beefy,
    Donot be Scared or focus on 8:1 static ,

    10:1 I would think Ok ,
    The reason I say the intake shown is like
    Low rise tunnel ram , so runner longer
    Compressed Outlet temp will be cooler then a short Runner ,
    I also use a Egt but in intake below / under blower so I can see intake air temp ,
    On 10:5:1 on hot day Temp might be around 170 temp in Intake under blower
    On 1/8 mile pull drop to 120's under Boost On 10% ethanol fuel off pump
    I am running right @ 6 psi , have run
    As much as 12 psi , 1-2 times , under boost with 27 deg BTDC ,I decided to be on safe side Just stick with 6 pounds of boost .
    My initial timing is 22 deg
    Normal driving 36 deg
    Under boost 27 deg
