OK, Thursday it is.....Won't be until late arvo, I'm working Funny you should ask about the bourbon......my fav shop is way over the other side of town, but my second fav is at Jimbob's local shops. Tell him to take you down to Charnwood grog shop. They USE to have a good selection, haven't had to go there lately (my ex lives 200 meteres from Jimbob and sometimes I HAVE to swing past a grog shop after visiting her ) ......Basil Hayden, Evan Williams single barrell or Rip Van are all reasonable drops, charnwood use to stock all of them. Elijah Craig is also not bad and now that Coles have the import rights it's only $38 a bottle.....WAY better value than Wild Turkey at $42 or Jack**** at $40 Or if your in a hurry....Bookers 108 proof, $100 a bottle but it only takes a few shots. .....and for some variety I shall bring a bottle of Olmeca Gold out. A bit of cactus juice is always a nice change......developed a taste when I was hanging in San Jose, but most of the good ones ain't available here.
Do you know of a supplier for Dos Eques Amber (or Green) down your way.....only one I have found is in Perth. $76 a case...ouch
Oh Geeeeez, you had to go and say that, now the GAMBs won't be able to live with him Dennis PS Congrats Corey (get the water tank in too )
Well done mate!!!! Been a long time coming, well as long as I have been asking you endless questions for anyway. Enjoy! Danny
That 32 is perfect. And you topped it off with the best engine for a traditional ride. Great detail and an absolutely beautiful car.
The car is wonderful----------- we run a 6-71 on our race car ( XF/BGR ) and it works great! Might want to drop the boost a taste for a street car. You really did a great job ! Congrats!!!!
Thanks all, I am pretty happy all in all, there are still some small things I want to do. But I feel much better knowing it has a fresh motor in it now. now I can go out and do the miles in it. I might have to build a roof though, if anything, just to keep the sun off my noggin. Now for that quickchange....
Been following this for a while. The whole process is well do***ented and will serve others well. The result is beautiful.
Beautiful car and great step by step on the engine ***embly. Speaking of rearends...how is your rear suspension set up? The car sits PERFECT! Thanks, Neal
Hi Neal, its an orginal 32 spring lowered about 6 inches and the original rear member has been pie cut and raised 3 inches. I have also C'd the ch***is as it use to bottom out if I had the boot ( trunk) full. Which I do often as I take this car to swap meets when I sell stuff. I will take a photo of the amount of stuff that I get in there, you'll be amazed. its not lined for that reason. cheers Corey
WOW! Another great car from downunder. Ya'll know how to put em together...great job! The only thing better than seeing that car on the HAMB would be seeing it in my driveway. Cheers, ya'll.
